I am FAT. I lost a lot last year on fast 800.
I put it in again.
I have lost weight on sw etc.
I know that ultimately I need to eat less, not binge, maintain for life.
Anyone else feel the same?!

Me too OP! I lost a lot of weight through low carbing, unfortunately I started binging again and put 2 stone back on.

I'm all or nothing when it comes to pretty much everything, I'm either really focused and strict and stick to the low carb way of eating to the letter OR I am eating 4 slices of white toast for breakfast and then eating sugar and carbs constantly throughout the day.

Trying to maintain on low carb was the most difficult thing as I can't just have a little of what I like, I see it as a green light to go crazy.

What are your plans for over Christmas? I've been really focused the past 2 weeks and feel mentally in a much better place, I'm planning to have Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and Boxing Day to eat what I like (I will TRY not to be a complete pig though) and then right back on it (fingers crossed!)

hazelgrey · 19/12/2021 08:26

I've tried almost everything - and am still fat

Sunshineandrainbow · 19/12/2021 08:26

Yes this is me.. I don't even know my weight.
How did you find fast 800 that's one plan I haven't done!

TalkToTheHand123 · 19/12/2021 09:50

I've never tried any proper diets but I know a few friends who have done and they never seem to work long term.

I'll be happy to lose an lbs as I never lose anything.

I've recently started to make and drink wheat bisk drinks and this give me some hope to lose weight though. They seem to fill me up and keep me off a lot of junk food, especially late at night. Helps settle my tummy too as a lot of food seems to give me a bad belly.

Hopefully I can be disciplined to get regular early nights which seems to help too.

I don’t really have a plan. But unhealthy and sluggish and fed up but I just don’t know how to break the cycle. The 800 diet I bought the book and followed it religiously. Maybe I should do that again to kick start

I lost over 3 stone during lockdown to get to the top end of my healthy weight range, but realistically I need to lose another stone. I have been happily maintaining for the last month and that is my plan until after my birthday early January. Maintenance is working great atm cos I can still indulge in chocolates, mince pies etc. But after the festivities have died down, it’s back to work

How did you get on with it the first time? Did you feel all right on it? The first days of a new routine are always the most difficult I find.

I'm doing One Meal A Day (OMAD) at the moment as a short term kick off to get me back into the swing of things and motivated. Combined with low carb it's not actually too bad but it's definitely not feasible for me long term. About to make some fudge for Christmas and some cookies to take work tomorrow, it seems I like to punish myself by making tasty things I then can't eat 😁

Similar story here. I lost a lot of weight on Fast 800 in the last year. I lost the plot in the past four months and have gained about 10lbs - but I’ve nevertheless still lost 27lbs overall and I’m ready to get going again. I posted the same on a Fast 800 thread yesterday - if you’re re-starting Fast 800 you may want to join that.

I’m confident Fast 800 will work again and it’s the right track for me but that possibly it will still always be a struggle to maintain. That’s one of the things I like about Fast 800 though - it’s realistic so going on to have two fast 800 days or whatever but also there’s the option to do a short term strict blitz now and again which seems to work for me.

LotsOfTrees · 19/12/2021 19:02

I have another two stone still to lose

Mrspopper · 19/12/2021 19:20

Thanks lots of trees I’ll take a look

Well I weighed myself and I’m at 15 stone 10 lb.
My weight has been creeping up for the last 16 years. I’m 5ft 7 and a very very comfortable size 14 slowly creeping into a 16. Gone are the days I was 9 stone 4lb and a size 8. I just wanna get down to the healthy range for my BMI which is around 11stones 7lbs.

I got married last August in lockdown so I’m sure atleast 1.5 stones is a gain since then but I feel disgusting and ugly now. I’m starting my weight loss journey from TOMORROW. Had enough of feeling like this .

TalkToTheHand123 · 21/12/2021 00:01

Aww you the same weight as me! (well at my last weigh in a day or so ago). I don't plan to weigh myself again in case I've put on. I really shouldn't have done as I think I've been doing ok.

If this plan doesn't work, I'm going to seriously need to think outside the box!

I'm on weat bix drinks and fibre sachets to keep me full. Probably overdoing it a bit with pasta and potatoe, but less chips and sausages.

Mrspopper · 21/12/2021 22:31

What’s the wheat bix drinks?
I’m unmotivated!!! Argh

OP posts:
TalkToTheHand123 · 21/12/2021 23:49

I put a few weatabixs (the cheaper ones) in a jug and pour a generous amount of skimmed milk in and leave a few mins to mix. I then mix properly and pour into a funnel above a big plastic bottle (previous yoghurt ones) and then put in fridge so I can take to work the next day. These keep me full and help stop binging.

Alternatively if I'm just in the house, I put a couple of bixs in a large glass and add milk. I consume more as a drink rather than using a bowl.

I've been doing this for a week so hopefully by about the end of next week I'll know if it's working.
