Before I got pregnant I was 8 stone and extremely thin. I was a size 6. Since given birth 3 Months ago I am now 11 stone and have gone up to a size 12. None of my clothes fit anymore. I can't seem to loose any weight or find motivation. I'm constantly hungry and want to eat. I have such a sweet tooth and I love sweet things. When I feel hungry I snack on chocolate and things like that. I'm trying to cut back my calories but it's absolutely impossible when I'm constantly hungry. I can't seem to find any exercise that I enjoy doing and I'm lazy as hell. I miss my old weight so much Sad

I’m sorry to read this. You sound so miserable with Flowers

What would it be like to eat no sweet foods at all?

Ubiquery · 27/11/2021 22:14

“Miserable with it” that should say.

This is a really boring thing to say but sweet stuff is deadly for making you want to eat and eat.

  • 3 meals a day. Snack at tea if you need it
  • protein at every meal
  • plenty of what your granny called roughage
  • 7 portions of veg and fruit (more veg)
  • enough sleep (hard at your stage but as much as you can)
  • fresh air and light
  • gentle exercise eg walking - not to loose weight just a good habit for long term health
  • only eat one treaty sugar thing a day, and as part of a meal, the rest of the food reduces the sugar high
  • if you can’t easily stop, dump sugar and refined carbs for a couple weeks to reset

Your baby is only 3 months old - be kind to yourself.

If you are breastfeeding, that made me ravenous - I put on weight breastfeeding, I had never known hunger like it. When I finally stopped, my appetite and weight reduced naturally.

Give yourself time, your body has made another human being. Appreciate it and be kind to it, there is plenty of time to diet when your body has recovered.

3 months really is no time at all. Are you comparing yourself to celebs who appear to clamber back into pre-pregnancy weight before the babies even home?

It's a totally unrealistic expectation,so be kind to yourself and spend your time getting to know your little one and enjoy this time together.
Once they're a little older you'll be run off your feet and eating only whatever left on their plate, trust me!

stop the sugar. Ive just done a 3 week sugar detox. Basically nothing after 5pm at night, such a tough time but its really helped to reset my "i need cake and crap" mentality!

Harder than it sounds, but it is do-able. I do share your pain, i am trying to shift 4 stone. Not easy
