A maintenance thread anyone?

I'm not even sure this would be the right section. It seems to me that all of us who want to reduce their weight have a plethora of threads to post on, we follow any one of a number of methods, all of which will work if you stick to the rules. Hopefully we achieve target. What happens then? you can't go back to eating how you did and most of us will try and fail to stay at target weight. I'm sure that staying at target is at least as hard as losing the weight but there seems to be no support at all once you get to this stage, unlesss perhaps you did it with WW or SW.
I've lost 4 stone this year (3 Feb to 25 September) and want to remain at just under 9 stone now. I've worked on a few techniques and experimented with what I eat but it is so difficult, and with Christmas coming up I'm concerned about falling off the wagon big time.
Does anyone else want to talk about this?

Hi Everyone.
It's good to see others struggle to maintain too.
I am sticking to my "no snacking" rule - following Zoe Harcombe's advice of "only cows graze" Smile but finding it increasingly difficult to limit the portion sizes of my meals.
Just marzipaned & iced my Christmas cake and made 2 dozen mince pies - which have all gone in the freezer.
On a plus point - Ive just booked an appointment to visit a pool/gym.
It's miserable weather here. I would love a mug of tea and a thick crust off the granary loaf with butter and blackcurrant jam. Must resist!

I had a 5lb weight gain since last week. Arrgh. I think I can put that down to a food-filled Christmas party last Friday plus one too many boozy nights out in the past week. My weight was down last week and sometimes my weight bounces up again but 5lb is ridiculous. Anyway I know it's going to come off again but it's a reminder I can't afford to let things slip. It's 2lb over my personal hard line. It's down a lb again today though so at least heading in the right direction.
