Pedometer Club - Week 21

Earlybird · 13/11/2004 16:17

Hi to anyone who's reading/participating. Had a decent week, and managed a total of : 71,326. Hopefully I've turned a corner with this week's result, and can keep going with these sorts of totals.......rather than looking back on this week as a highpoint.

How did the rest of you do?

Thanks for doing this EB - I stopped because it was only me one week! Also, haven't worn pedometer for a little while as I wasn't going anywhere. Wish I'd put it on today though - Xmas shopping this morning and walk to and round common this afternoon - my legs are telling me I've done about 20,000 [smile

Tommy - glad to be of help. I think anyone who does Christmas shopping on a Saturday morning not only deserves to be credited for steps taken, but also should receive a special bonus amount!

You may have seen that I also went through a period where I wasn't wearing my pedometer so much, but I'm back in the habit now. Also think the fact that it's rained only a little this week has helped me get my total up again. Good luck this next week!

Ah EB - I only went today ebcause it's the only time I could go on my own which is a big bonus as usually I'm pushing a buggy and dragging around a bored toddler although when I told him I was going on my own he said "Want you be sad all by yourself?" ahhhhh sweet!

MadameButterfly · 15/11/2004 10:28

I thought I was the only one still going on this board.

i am glad to see that this is not the case.

My total for last week was 57181.

Tommy · 15/11/2004 10:31

Well, if we're definitely still all doing it....I shall put mine back on and join in

Earlybird · 15/11/2004 21:52

MadameButterfly - well done to the faithful and dedicated Pedometer Club stalwart!

Tommy - get your pedometer back on and join us! Think of it as a bit of pre-Christmas bulge prevention!

BTW - had a lousy walking day yesterday, and decent today. Will report in on Friday night/Saturday morning. Good luck!

My total so far this week (sat-Wed night) is 51,000 so I am well on track fro a good week. I will post my actual total on Monday.

Tommy · 18/11/2004 14:37

I am really ashamed to say that I had to get the car out today and even drive DS1 to pre-school. I am normally very scathing about people who drive whne they could walk but I had to do 2 other things before Toddler group and have to drive there as it finishes the same time as pre-school! My weekday walks have gone out the window a bit but we are trying at the weekends. I'm just having ablip - I will improve! (honest)

10,000 in a day Issymum - which is quite difficult unless you walk alot
The aim on these threads was to try and increase - say by 10% - each week. See what you do the first week and then take it from there. Good luck

Tommy · 19/11/2004 09:54

Obviously haven't got the hang of this bold thing yet.....

yep - that's about it really. I think it's supposed to keep you fit as opposed to losing weight anyway. Use the stairs instead of the lift etc - that sort of thing. Good luck
