I posted the other day, the general consensus was I eat carbs for every meal, which is true, In all honesty I don't know how to reduce my carbs? Any suggestions or suggestions of recipes?

Why don't you come and join us on the Low Carb Bootcamp thread? We've only just started week 2 (of 8), so you'd be very welcome to join us.

If you don't want to, that's fine! But here's the prep thread for it, which explains what we do when we're doing the low carb Bootcamp

Eating carbs with every meal isn’t a bad thing tho.

Count your calories, ensure you are in a deficit (-500 a day generally results in 1-2lb loss a week, which is easier to maintain), make sure you’re getting enough protein too.

Good luck Smile

Nothing wrong with carbs at every meal especially when the carbs are coming from vegetables and salad, rather than pasta/rice/potatoes/bread.

I eat carbs with every meal, and have lost 18Kgs over the last 15 months or so.

BUT carbs are such an easy ‘go to’ for snacking…. Slice of toast, a biscuit, packet of crisps…. So can contribute to weight gain and hard to cut out.

I planned my snacks and had ready things like carrot sticks between me and the bread bin. Halved my portion of rice, pasta or spuds with dinner. Varied the type of starchy carb, so no days of toast, toast and pasta. Going instead for oats, toast (one slice with healthy accompaniment) and potatoes, for e.g.

I liked filling soups, carrot and lentil (but then that is not carb free at all), etc.

Filling low carb lunches: avocado. Scrambled egg. Spinach omelette.

I made bowls of Mayo-free slaw. Shredded red cabbage and carrot with a tasty lime and ginger dressing. But of nut oil. Piles of that alongside lunch filled me up.
