Keep on, keeping on. Losing the lockdown weight

This is an accountability thread to keep me motivated. I lost a lot of weight before lockdown. It was weight put on due to pregnancy and general uncontrolled eating! In lock down I put 21 pounds on. So I set myself a 4 week challenge to stick to slimming world and extended it for another 4 weeks and I lost 13 pounds. The last week however I couldn’t fit the plan into family life and so I was calorie counting and that was a better match for me.

So here I am, setting myself another 4 week challenge to just eat mindfully and between 12-1800 calories a day. I don’t set a loss target for the week because I’m fantastic at self destructing if I don’t reach that target and will eat all the food. So it’s just a boring thread to remind myself that having lost the weigh before, I know I’ll be much healthier and happier if I get a few more pounds off.

So this week I have no big plans, my bike is back on the road and I’ve been off the booze for a few days which is a massive help.

So week 1 stats
Starting weight 11.3
Healthy weight for height 10.6

Morning!
Similar story here.

Current weight 10'6
Goal weight 9'6

Am only 5ft. Struggle to keep it down. Doing at least 10,000 steps, calorie counting and cutting out wine

Great to be accountable

@whatsoccuringnow yeah if I don’t write down that I’m actively trying to lose weight then I give myself excuses to accidentally forget. Calorie counting is helping me to see when I easily go over with a glass or wine or whatever.

Same here but it's the all or nothing mentality I have. I'm either really 'good' or eat one thing and then decide who cares. Especially at weekends

elasticatedwaste · 22/10/2021 06:42

Well I’ve not lost this week and feel mildly aggrieved so I’ll post here to remind myself not to revert to fuck it mentality. I’ve actually had a great week of exercise and eating healthily but I didn’t track my food so clearly I’ve gone over on most days. Even though I’m not setting targets the heart of the pity party is that I was hoping to lose 1.5 pounds and then I’d have lost a stone in 9 weeks. Oh well, keep on, keeping on.

Forgot to update last week. For the first time since August I have not lost weight but put on a pound and it has remained this week. I’m a little annoyed with myself but I have had a weekend away and even though I walked for miles I do know that does not mean I can eat away with abandon!
So this week is very busy, I’ll need to keep a check on my choices and complete my calorie counter.
I’m not drinking this month due to how busy work is and a lot of evening driving so that helps the carb cravings that I get the day after wine. I’m also going to take my measurements for the first time in a while!

Week 3: 11.4
Healthy weight 10.6

First time under 14st this morning. Progress! Well 1st step.
Using the Michael Mosely 800 as a guide (not over strictly) hope to get stricter after Christmas.
Doing some exercise now, but that is harder for me because I have damaged my back!!

I'll come back if I may.
