I've had a rough few years with IVF, inevitably I've gained weight through stress, hormones and all the shit that goes with it. My weight has crept up to over 73kg. I used to be around 64kg, lightest was 58kg. I used to be a muscular, lean size 8. I'm now a strong, curvy size 10. (41, 167cm)
The person I dislike most in the world texted me this .....
'It's laughable how much weight you've put on. You've always been ugly inside and out, but at least you had your enviable figure as leverage to get your own way. Now you don't even have that'
For weeks this has eaten away at me, I shouldn't let it upset me but it does. This week however something has clicked and I want to use this as motivation to drop the comfort Kg's.
Main issues are irregular eating
Too much wine
Not enough sleep
Starving myself, then eating too much
Over indulging on the weekend.
Anyone fancy keeping me company?

Well done. Make sure you're drinking plenty of water. I've lost just shy of 2kg and am just under 69kg. and have noticed I've got less belly, which is good. Gym programmes changed at the beginning of the month too so good to have new challenges.

As men have less body fat the gits manage to lose weight more easily! DP has been told to stop eating crap by the GP recently so that makes things easier for me when it comes to shopping and cooking.

Hop27 · 09/11/2021 21:10

69.9kg 🙌🏻
Just under, but that was a huge milestone psychologically for me!

Is it ok if I join? I've seen similar stats to mine so seems like a good place to get some motivation.

I put on so much weight over lockdown last year but last September I signed up to healthy eating/exercise plan and managed to lose around 10kg and was a size 10 for the first time as an adult! That was in May, and since the world has opened up and life has regained some normality, my eating habits have slipped and there always seems to be a party/half term/holiday/meal out happening, basically all excuses!

I was 60kg in May and I felt really good, and I really want to get back there, I've got around 3.5kg to lose. I'm realistic that I probably won't shift much this side of Christmas but I'm keen for it not to spiral. Good luck everyone.

Welcome @usernotfound0000 !
You can easily drop a few kg's pre Christmas! That's me down to 69.5.... eyes on 68 now!
Slowly, slowly and all that!

Weighed in this morning for the first time in a few weeks, I'm 63.4kg. Plan of action is cutting out snacks and increasing my exercise, I already workout out 5 times a week but going to increase the time from 30 mins to 45 a day and try and get my steps up. Aiming for a kg loss in a week.

WeAreTheHeroes · 12/11/2021 10:30

Don't flog yourself to death with exercise - something like 90%+ of weightloss is down to diet. If you set your calories right you can lose a kilogram in a week without the extra time spent exercising. Eat more lean protein moderate fat and carbs, plenty of leafy green vegetables, green beans, etc.

TheFairPrincess · 12/11/2021 11:56

Well done OP and I'm so sorry you have someone so pathetic and bitter in your life that they would ever even think to send you such a message.

Regarding the questions over the size 10, people really do just carry weight differently. I have masses of weight to lose atm but I am also nearly 5'6 and am a 12 - 14 at 14 stone and would definitely be a size 10 at 11 stone, though it has been about a million years since my weight has ever been so low :(

WeAreTheHeroes · 13/11/2021 17:23

My trainer at the gym has given me a calories drop today to do for two weeks. It's fairly easily doable and worth remembering if you've lost weight and are finding it hard to lose the last however much.

ShipwreckSunset · 14/11/2021 23:34

Well done @Hop27!!

Hop27 · 25/11/2021 02:17

Congratulations! I was 81kgs, got down to 70, gave up a few weeks ago and am not re-starting til after Christmas now because there isn't much point losing the weight now for it to get back on at Christmas.

Hop27 · 02/12/2021 20:44
