Any exercise will help you lose weight. The more calories you burn, the better. I try to walk a few miles a day.

Reducing your caloric intake will have a much bigger weight reduction impact, but some of both is helpful. You have to be obsessive about tracking your intake. Most people greatly underestimate how many calories they consume.

From my own experience, one that you like and will stick at. I'm a big fan of team sports, because you have to go or you're letting down a team.

And although you can't outrun a bad diet, I always find that once the exercise habit is nailed, then a healthier diet and hence weight loss follow.

Exercise burns surprisingly few calories. Trying to walk 10k steps per day would be a crude measure of energy output. 10 minutes is about 1000 steps. There’s some walking workouts on YouTube.

Doing some weights or body weight exercises will help you feel strong and stop you losing muscle instead of fat. But do something you enjoy and can stick to.

Well yes, cycling can help you lose weight. But the key is finding an exercise you love and want to do lots of as well as keeping a careful eye on what you eat.
I don't believe there are any short cuts or easy weight loss secrets. It is diligent day in day out eating sensibly and exercising regularly.
