Saggy skin (attractive I know)

So, weight loss has worked over the past 18 months for me. Slowly, but steadily based on CC and being much more active and walking/keep fit classes etc.
However, I’m starting to notice I’m left with baggy stretched skin. Especially on my inner thighs. It’s horrible.
Having looked this up online, the main solution seems to be a thigh lift which scares me and I can’t afford.
I’m 48 and I doubt the skin will snap back so, does anyone have any advice please?
If you had weight loss, did you find anything that helped with the lose skin? Many thanks in advance.

3.5 stone lost and I’m left with the tummy of an old woman. That was the fattest part of me (typical apple shape) I’m a similar age to you.

I’ve kept the weight off for over 12 months & I haven’t found anything that has helped. Daily massage with moisturiser of any description has done nothing, daily planks have given me rock hard muscles but no 6 pack as it’s hiding under the loose skin. I do think surgery is the only fix but that isn’t something I can afford.

I have lost 41% of my body weight over the last year and after 6 kids my belly was the worst, genuinely the only thing that has made it better is tucking it my now much much smaller pants and saying
" fuck it" I'm a shit loads healthier than I was.

I know, and I will say fuck it eventually. Was just hoping there was some magic tale of skin elasticity at my age.
It’s only when I’m in a swimming costume etc or swanning around in my pants (which is infrequent). And I know it’s a lot healthier than it was.
Thank you anyway, and well done to you both on the impressive weight loss/fitness thing!

I’ve lost about 6 stone and aiming for another 1.5 and while I’ve been mostly fortunate on the skin front, same as you, the tops of my inner thighs and triceps area are saggy and crepey.

Having researched it I don’t think there is any real solution apart from surgery. When I’ve finished losing I will work more on toning and building muscle which will help a little bit. I won’t have surgery.

And if I’m honest I’m so pleased with the rest of me I can live with it - in my experience 99% of ppl look better with their clothes on so I’m focussing on all the lovely new clothes (with sleeves!) I can fit into now Grin

MindBodyChocolate, excellent going!
I’m starting on doing more weights and resistance work this week so that may help a little, but agree with you totally. I look so much better day to day (admittedly dressed) and I must be healthier; I can live with the saggy crepey skin.

Weight training should help a bit, and bear in mind it can take a good couple of years for the skin to shrink back as much as it is going to.
