Has anyone tried it? Is it worth the money? Do you have to log in everything you eat?

I did a trial for a month or so and it helped me focus but if you're an experienced dieter and know about nutrition, know what your triggers are ec you may not learn much that's new. Haing said that, a friend of mine has just lost 2 stone on it in under 3 months.

Thank you @HugeAckmansWife that's helpful. Wow that's so impressive about your friend, that's a huge amount to lose in just 3 months! Well done to her. I have half a stone to lose, I've been on the 5 2 diet so far but find hard to keep it up at the moment. But if I dont diet, I dont lose anything even if I'm careful about my food choices and get active

It's like my fitness pal.

But more expensive.

I’ve done 10 days on it and have lost 2.5lbs. It is exactly what I need which is the CBT help, the reminders that I need to weigh daily, drink water, log my food, do exercise. I guess it won’t work for everyone but I really need help with changing my habits as they are the things that sabotage me and this is doing just that. I intend sticking with it for several months because it is helping me “start” my diet every single day without feeling demotivated.

I’ve lost very nearly 4 stone in just under 8 months. 3lb to go to 9 stone, my target. I have had really good support from my group. Group coach and my goal coach. They have encouraged me to have exercise goals too and at 65 I’m now running about 6k three times a week. After not having run for 10 years. The course really helps you understand your relationship with food and helps you gain control. I am now size 10. Pretty fit and full of energy . It is no more expensive than Weightwatchers so well worth a try if you will honestly commit to the daily weighing, group and reflective work and calorie counting.

I did it for six mo, but I had a food calorie budget of 1200 which I found impossible to stick to, so I never lost weight

OryxAndCrake11 · 18/09/2021 22:54

I've just started Noom! 3 stone to lose and not sure I can use baby weight as an excuse any more now she's a year now. Really hopeful as I've been struggling to get motivated but I'm really unhappy with what I see in the mirror so fingers crossed.

I should clarify this. I did lose 6kg, but then put back on 2kg. Having logged my food for months &months & months, I rebelled. I just cannot bear this, it does my head in & makes me obsessed. I have now stopped. I also very rarely weigh myself.
These are common rules in dieting regimes, but I have decided not for me. I would like to lose 9 more kg, but 1200 cals is really difficult for me. SoI am focussing on eating when hungry, limiting sugar. Also NOT spending money on diets, books, clubs, diet meals, etc.
I did get a bit of help from Noom, but it was pretty subtle. I still get mega-hungry, which is my downfall.
