Mysimba side effects, any thoughts?

I’ve taken Mysimba twice now, both times I’ve had agonising stomach cramps which I can only compare to contractions!! Some diarrhoea and bloating also, and been so tired I’ve passed out on the sofa. I really want Mysimba to work for me but have felt so awful after taking it that I can’t do anything but curl up with a hot water bottle. Will this pass and any suggestions on mitigating these awful side effects? Could I start on half a pill?

If relevant, I have IBS so a very sensitive stomach in general.

You should never break Mysimba in half , it's a slow release so coated to prevent fast absorption of the 2 drugs
It doesn't suit a lot of people and the side affects vary enormously
It was great for me for about 5 weeks then just totally stopped working overnight
The side effects were horrendous and I will not retry something that clearly affected me neurologically
On saying that- on the UK Facebook group I see people having great success with it and managing well
Please don't break a tab but talk to the prescriber re starting again and managing your tummy , good luck
