which diet?

I feel like I've tried every diet under the sun in my life!

I'm disabled and I can't get to classes easily, so I do online diet plans.

Pre lockdown, I did SW and lost 5 stone. I know the diet inside and out, but then lockdown hit and I've gained 3 stone. Their online website is shit though and I did feel I was doing it very much alone and not getting much for my money. You can find the diet information anywhere else online for free so membership was pointless.

WW i did this years ago and lost 2 stone, however it switched to low sugar and put me right off. Looking at their website, its definitely improved since last time I used it. Very user friendly, lots of support and exercise help. But I'm not sure if I can switch from the Syns to the Points mentality easily? Also it looks expensive every month.

MFP - cheap but I find calorie counting had to stick to as I don't really feel restricted like I do with SW or WW, so I eat everything I shouldn't as long as I'm within calories!

fasting - I can't do it, I'm too hungry.

So which diet do I do? Do I return to SW? Switch to WW? Or is there something completely different I can try? (I don't like the look of Noom)

I've never used WW, but I'd imagine that there is a large online community that still uses the previous method that you are used to. If you are unable to get to in person classes though, Slimming World and WW are both quite expensive for what they are! Are you motivated enough to follow a diet on your own, or do you need some sort of group support? Given that the Slimming World and WW methods of eating both worked for you in the past, while calorie counting, low carb/sugar and fasting don't, I'd stick with what you know works. If you need the online support then I'd pay for slimming world. If you are happy to go it alone then pick which one you prefer (and which version, old or new) look up the diet information for free online (or buy some of the books second hand) and follow that instead.

Oh and make a real effort to concentrate on drinking LOADS of water each day. I'm currently participating in the low carb bootcamp on here and for my weight need to drink 3 litres of water a day. It sounds a lot (and it is!) but it drastically reduces my hunger and need to snack when I do manage it!

I've not done it, but SW has a very active Instagram community. You might find some extra support on there.
