Going back to weight loss - how was it for you?

Just got to my goal weight after calorie counting plus 5:2. Aiming to carry on weighing myself and 5:2 to maintain. But I was wondering if anyone has any experience/ thoughts on:

  1. if you gain a few pounds while in maintenance mode is it easy to knock off those few pounds, through returning to previous weight loss methods?

  2. I might go back on diet to lose another few pounds/half a stone or so below my original goal weight. Is it easy to do mentally and physically?

Hope that makes sense but I really like my new weight and want to stay like this but maintain for now.
