One week detox diet suggestion

Hello everyone..

Every year I put on a stone and this time every year I loose it over 2 months ish.. 🙄However this year because of a too tight dress and a family wedding id like to drop as much as I can in 10 days. I was thinking of doing some sort of detox to kick start my diet and then loose the balance by my usual calorie counting
Anyone have any recommendations .

No diet will detox your body.

Hey blaby

Bad phrasing on my part. I'm aware that unfortunately I can't detox my body.
I suppose what I'm looking for is a crash diet similar to the British heart foundation one except minus peanut butter as I can't abide the stuff.

Crash dieting will just make you feel ill.

You could try this - https://thefast800.com/12-week-programme/?gclid=EAIaIQobChMItIrDlcW8gIVDrrtCh2uxQB-EAAYASAAEgL2VfDD_BwE

Although I doubt you'll lose sufficient in 10 days to make much of a visible difference. Buy a bigger dress and address the weight issue in a more sustainable way? You can then either sell the dress on eBay or vinted (eg) or get a glow from giving it to charity or a friend.

Enjoy the wedding.

Do a shake diet like exante...it's not great and not sustainable but in the short term you'll lose enough so your dress feels a bit more comfortable.

Also get some shapewear as will make you feel more confident!

Extended fasting is very good for this. You will need electrolytes, I do it a few times a year to get things moving. Not for the faint hearted.

Thanks

Some good advice there.. the dress fits (just about) but was much much nicer on me when I was 10 pounds lighter.( or even 7)
Might have a look at extended fasting. A week won't kill me!

I don’t think crash diets are a good idea…but no carbs for a week normally flattens me out a lot.

Be aware that as soon as you start eating normally, it’ll go straight back on. But if you’re only doing it for 1 week it’s fine.
