Anyone with at least 100lbs/45kg to lose want to join me?

I started with 76.3kg to lose to get to 100kg, I’m now 169.1kg. So I’m slowly but surely starting to make progress.

I want to get down to 85-90kg hopefully.

I used to be a massive crisp and chocolate eater, I’m talking easily 6-12 bags of crisps a day with goodness knows how much chocolate.

I had 6 months of therapy surrounding food and all that, and that has really helped. Still not perfect without support I was eating 6 bags once or twice a week but still a damnsite better than before. With support from family who I live with I eat one bag of crisps per day and one Freddo a day.

I used to just live off sandwiches but now I’m eating one sandwich per day and a proper meal for dinner and I am eating breakfast, usually just some toast.

Since March I was going to the gym 3 times a week with a personal trainer, I had to take a break from the gym due to mental health issues flaring up but now I’m slowly easing back into the gym. Planning on one swimming session and two gym sessions.

Obviously I’m not doing things perfectly but I think that would be pretty difficult. But what I’m doing is working so I’m happy with that.

I’ve lost the same 6kgs twice but I’m determined to keep going this time.

Anyone want to join me? Could do with mutual support.

I have 70lbs to lose, have a medical condition now which means I simply have to lose it to help with the pain. I can only eat low fat. It sounds like you are really focused, it takes great strength of mind to change habits like your crisps or sandwiches.

Hey UnDunLun. Good luck with losing the weight, feel free to check in here if you’d like.

I have booked a pt session on Monday morning, looking forward to it, I think lol. Haven’t been for two months with the pt due to my mental health issues. So yeah, eek.

You’ll love it once you start, I’m sure. Well, if not love then at least feel better after lol. I’m going to start walking the dog for an extra hour from Monday, she does her main walks with DH but I really should be doing more. We walk the beach so a great workout.

Boomerang99 · 21/08/2021 17:33

I have about 84lbs to lose and started going to the gym 3 weeks ago. I have a PT PT once a week and am really enjoying it.

I'm in, could very much do with the mutual support. I don't really have much of a support system at the moment and I gained quite a lot being so isolated over the pandemic. I've been diagnosed with binge eating disorder and was given a few therapy sessions, but I think I'll have to find a way to pay privately for proper on-going treatment.

I weighed 157.1 Kg last Monday and 154.6 kg this Monday gone, I just need to keep the momentum going. Similarly I would like to weigh around 85 Kg I think.

At the moment I'm trying to focus on the nutrition aspect and introduce exercise a bit later.

It's really hard but I have to believe it's doable.

DrJump · 22/08/2021 08:32

I'm in.

I've had pretty good run lately having gone from 131.7 kilos to 108.3 last week. However my state has gone into lockdown and bam I'm at 108.9 and climbing.
I am working with a weightless team and see the head doctor in October so I have decided rather than to try to lose weight that I will aim to maintain weight until I see him.

I have lost weight by following a VLCD but have finished the 12 weeks so moving to a lower carb diet. I am exhausted by the work required to lose weight and trying to stay positive and motivated.

Hey guys, welcome.

Feel free to post when you want here.

I decided to start this thread as I can never find people even vaguely close to my size, unless it’s on an American Facebook group. Thanks for coming to join me.

I weighed this morning, I have a habit of doing it most days, which I know isn’t the best but I like it. I’m down to 168.5kg, woo.

10cmDeTi · 23/08/2021 08:39

That's great @wombatsandaplant, I have a habit of weighing myself often too.

I was 151.9 kg this morning, so 2.7 kg down for the week, yay!

I know it will start to come off slower soon, I just need to not lose motivation.

wombatsandaplant · 23/08/2021 12:01

Well done @10cmDeTi

I weighed in at the gym today and I’m 168.2kg so down 2.7kg this week too. Woo.

I hadn’t realised I’d lost so much this week. I use happy scale to track and that’s what it said so woo, I’m super happy with that. I knew I was averaging about 1kg a week since I’d started so hadn’t noticed that this week.

Also I’m 0.5kg off losing 10% of my weight to lose. 1st goal almost down.

Today I burned 579calories at the gym. I did some treadmill, squats, lunges, step ups, bike and a couple other things. Was good.

Plan is to go swimming on Wednesdays and gym with personal trainer Monday and Friday.

That’s a great loss!

wombatsandaplant · 26/08/2021 10:44

@UnLunDun thank you

I weighed this morning and I’ve lost another 600g, which takes me over my first goal of losing 10% of weight I have to lose. Yay. Super happy with that.

Away near aviemore for the week. The local cafe has beautiful tray bakes. May have had two today lol oops, in my defence they were irresistible.

No weigh in this week.

How’s everyone else doing?

wombatsandaplant · 02/09/2021 16:27

Trying out aqua aerobics tomorrow for a change. We were going to go swimming but it’ll be a nightmare swimming while aqua is on so we decided to join them.

OP posts:
wombatsandaplant · 04/09/2021 11:35

Aqua aerobics was so much fun and such hard work. I really felt it when I was doing it. I’m feeling it a little bit today too. Usually even after a hard gym work out I don’t feel anything. So I’m happy with that. I highly recommend aqua aerobics.

OP posts:
wombatsandaplant · 06/09/2021 13:58

I have lost a kilo this past week. Lost the kilo that I put on the week before last. So I’m still heavier than my lowest weight but only by 0.1kg. So yay. Onwards and downwards.

OP posts:
wombatsandaplant · 13/09/2021 18:27

So despite eating out twice and having a burger both times, I have still lost 900g, so only 100g off a kilo, yay. Down to 166.9kg.

My personal trainer is leaving the gym at the end of the month sadly, but he’s recommended a few others at the gym so hopefully I gel with one of them as good as I have done with my current personal trainer.

Doing aqua aerobics twice a week and pt sessions twice a week.

Anyone else?
