How can I lose a stone quickly but safely? If it's alright for Lily Allen, it's alright for me...

But seriously, I've been doing Slimming World for 2 months and it's really slow going, I'm not sure I'm suited to it.

I'm ttc and I want this last stone off as a matter of some urgency but without being silly.

Any ideas? (I know "eat less and move around more", but anything else that could practically fit into my life with a 15m DS?)

Would you like to try Joanna Hall no carbs after 5 diet? It's healthy, safe and clever. I use it and it helps me. it's not all the carbs but you don't eat bread, pasta, rice, cereal and potatoes after 5PM. You could borrow her book in your local library which is called no carbs after 5. Also you could just see what you eaT YOU COULD SAFELY CUT OUT - BUISCUITS, CRISPS, SUGAR, WHITE BREAD - STUFF LIKE THAT.

You do know that Lily Allenhas shifted it by serious exercise? Gym 2 hours a day, several times a week?

Bugger! I don't have 2 hours a day to go to the gym.

Fedda - I've been doing SW so I haven't eaten anything like biscuits, white bread etc for a couple of months. Does it make a difference what time you eat? I always thought it was the amount of calories consumed, not the time of day?

Walking with lo in a pushchair. Push lo in pushchair for half an hour in one direction, push her as fast as you can go. The turn around and go home. Do this every day and there you have 7 hours of some of the cbest fat burning excersise in one week.

I think the theory with the no-carbs after 5 thing, is that most stored fat is burnt whilst you sleep so if you carb starve for a few hours more fat will be lost. Dunno. I know that low carb generally works really well for me, but if I remember rightly you already tried that? Sorry if I've got that wrong.

I don't know how it works but it does. I have to say though that i veryally cut out bread, pasta and even potatoes and rice and it gave good resulys for a while. Also vegetable soups made without potatoes or cubes or salt reaaly worked for me. i flavour my soups with can chopped tomatoes, herbs and spices AND i DON'T FRY THE VEG, JUST BOIL IT. Most people would saythey are tasteless but I love them and soups from beetroot, cabage, carrots, celery and similar are excellent for slimming. i have to say though that nothing lasts for me and from time to time I go for odd buiscuit or sweetened tea or coffee. I can't do it for 100% but I try my best without getting depressed.

I get round the 'boring' bit by adding chillies fedda! I do use stock but usually from leftover roast chicken or the water I've boiled a ham in. I love soup. I tend to eat lots of salad in the summer and soup in the winter. Also lentils are good to thicken soup - lower Gi than spuds. Also squash.

I add chillies too. I try my best but my weight is creeping up, I put on 700g.

She had hypnotherapy from some woman who costs £300 an hour. Apparently she can "re-programme" you to enjoy exercise and healthy food. She's now cashing in with a dvd www.amazon.co.uk/Weight-Loss-Without-Diet-Hypnosis/dp/B000YH7RS2
