Ive put on a good stone and a half since lock down and tried to lose it on my own but its impossible. Ive done slimming world many many times over the years but have never tried WW. It just looks so complicated. Anyone tried both, of course its down to personal preference but just wanted some of your thoughts. Thanks

I did Slimming World last year. Lost decently, but it kind of fizzled out. A few weeks ago I signed up to WW and I’m really impressed so far. I signed up for the full membership she have access to all the workshops, coaching sessions, live sessions etc. They seem to have a more holistic approach than SW, with a focus on wellbeing and sleep along side food and exercise.
I did find it ready complicated at first though. If you do a digital plan they have a timetable of live ‘kickstart’ sessions where they take you through how it all works which I found really helpful. They do then have some ‘deeper dive’ sessions about specifics I think, but I’ve not explored those so far.

Neither. Like you say, you have done SW many times. It doesn't work. WW is the same.

Count your calories because ultimately calories in and calories out is the basis of every weight loss program.

Hi, I used to do sw and I lost 3 stone in 3 months but I did get bored, I then swapped to calorie counting...I now have a real problem with my eating habits, cal counting really suits some people but I have a rather obsessive personality so I've been told by a Councillor, this alongside calorie counting is a recipes for disaster, I have a friend on ww who loves it and has lost 4 stone in a year...I on the other hand have lost and gained the same stone over the last tear trying to track calories and macros...I'm now afraid to stop but I'm very very tempted by ww but I'm like you it looks very hard tbh xx

I've been doing WW 3 weeks. Have had successes on WW and SW previously but chose WW this time as l found my portion control on SW wasn't managed!

The phone app does all the work for me. It keeps track of how many points l have left and automatically carries any spare one's over.

There is a barcode scanner that you can use to scan your food and it will enter into whichever day you set it too.

Or use the points calculator by entering the calories, salt, protein etc and it calculates it for you.
