Gluten free low ish carb recipes?

I would love to know if anyone else can't eat gluten and needs to drop some weight please?! If so it would be great to share food ideas! Or even if you can eat gluten but are watching carbs, that counts if a recipe is carb free!

I'm doing 1200 calories a day, trying to be low ish (around 100g a day) on carbs.

I'm eating the same things a lot of the time though.

This week I discovered the joy of 2 poached eggs (cooked in cups individually in the microwave to be quick at lunch) on 2 portobello mushrooms. It was delicious and doesn't involve bread!

I followed this diet 4 years ago and lost 4 stone. Last year I put back on 2 of those. I've lost a stone so far this time. So, I know this diet works (and I'm pretty short height wise so 1200 calories isn't as low as it initially sounds!) but back then I wasn't gluten intolerant so this time food ideas are even harder.

Thank you in advance for any ideas you can share! Smile

Maybe try the Diet Doctor website?

I sometimes have,

Poached egg and spinach;
Cheese omelet;
Daal (lentils, chopped onion and peppers, garlic, spice and tinned tomatoes), with Greek yogurt or kefir;
Mushrooms on a small dry slice of g-f granary bread;
Avocado and tuna salad;
Salad Niçoise - salad with boiled egg, black olives, green beans & tuna.

Things like the daal and the Niçoise you can make a lot of and put it in a tub for the next couple of days. Even the cheese omelette can be heated up later.

@SpindleWhorl thanks for the ideas. I've never cooked with lentils so I may have to give that a go!
