Am going to get into HIIT; can anyone recommend a sensibly priced sports bra? I'm 38C.

TIA

Go to get fitted properly, try different brands on and invest in the best fitting one you can afford.

SchrodingersImmigrant · 24/07/2021 15:19

I got the best holding one from amazon 😱
YIANNA Women's High Impact Sports Bra
Looks like a bloody scam, but much better than any other I got incl m&s.

Check your size by measuring
Boobydoo website has a wide variety and I like panache ultimate underwired for my 36GGs

cakeseeker · 24/07/2021 15:54

Shock absorbers all the way. No other ones have matched for me, and god knows I've spent enough money trying!

If you can get fitted somewhere like Bravissimo then do! Do not trust M and S sizing.

orangejuicer · 24/07/2021 15:56

Another vote for shock absorbers.

PurpleDaisies · 24/07/2021 15:58

I love shock absorbers (multi active sports). Booby doo website is great. I just keep checking and buy them whenever they’re reduced. Everyone suits different ones, so find yours and get more than you think you need!

dementedpixie · 24/07/2021 16:08

I couldn't find the right fit with shock absorber and like my underwired panache bra

CrouchEndTiger12 · 24/07/2021 16:10

Shock absorbers are horrible sizing. Much smaller. Impossible to do up.

They do run small. I buy my normal cup size and back size one up. I agree the ultimate run bras are impossible to get on but the multi sports ones are fine.
ErrolTheDragon · 24/07/2021 16:16

I have shock absorbers - the high impact compressive type but also the ones more like conventional bras for Pilates, lower impact stuff.
The compressive ones are meant to be tight, I think... I found the only way to do them was to leave the upper fastener done up, put it on over my head then do up the lower fastening. I'm not sure how they'd work if you didn't have flexible arms (or an assistant!). But once it's on, nothing moves.

ErrolTheDragon · 24/07/2021 16:17

I do go up a band size and down a cup size, come to think.

cakeseeker · 24/07/2021 16:24

Ah yes, me too, should have said that earlier actually Blush technically I'm a 26gg, but I use a 30ff shock absorber.

I wear them all the time actually as I prefer everything not to move. Come to think of it I wonder if that's a good idea.

veneeroftheweek · 24/07/2021 16:35

Another vote for underwired Panache. Really comfy and no movement.

Ohdeariedear · 24/07/2021 16:39

Shock absorbers here too, 38e, but I’m going to take a look at this panache one that’s been mentioned now.

I tried a few from M&S recently, as I had heard really good things about the zip fronted one, but they were terrible!

Mine broke after 1 use because it was made with quite a week plastic bits for the size I needed... During first lockdown and they needed return to the ahop after lockdown. Of course I dorgot and remembered them today🤦
SchrodingersImmigrant · 24/07/2021 17:32

M&s ones. Not shockabsorbers

mushforbrain · 24/07/2021 17:43

Oh I love the M&S zipped ones! Have had two for years and many many runs and have had no problems with the zip or fit. I like them cos they make my boobs really flat!

CrouchEndTiger12 · 24/07/2021 18:33

Mine are all sweaty betty.

The elastic ripped on one after a few months and they gave me a new one. Good customer service.

Fordian · 24/07/2021 19:08

Well, I've ended up with a M&S front zip non wired!

I needed 4" bigger and one up size bigger than I would have ordered... I went in and luckily they had enough stock for me to try. And, a lady clearing stock turns out to be a bra fitter so she advised me.

So I did my first HIIT innit today and it was good. All anchored.

Thanks everyone. All recommendations carefully stored.
