Hi - I read on the other lighterlife thread that you trained to be a consultant and that you are skeptical. What actually persuaded you not to become a counsellor? Do lighterlife believe that most people are actually going to regain their weight? And what about the glycogen? Does the glycogen issue mean that your metabolism will be completely screwed up?

TIA

I was pursuaded not to persue it because if the agressive marketing plan, the high franchise costs (because you effedtively buy and area) and the fact you only have to do this plan for 5 days yourself during your training. The company is ruthless around management because it's a huge money spinner.

The ladies that own lightlife are big. There are some successful consultants out there but it is very expensive lifestyle eating plan. Myconsultant was having a personal battle with alcohol at the time and was by her own admission binge eating

Googling glycogen made me realise that yes it does screw up your metabolism and as soon as you eat again your body will grab everything and try to store it in case of future starvation

The best bit of lighterlife is week 6 when you have lost around 2 stone and before starvation and desperation to chew something again kicks in too hard

Thanks for replying.

I was thinking of going back on (lord knows I need to do something) but instinctively I know that I should be eating real food - Don't get me wrong _ I think it is an excellent solution for somebody like me who really needed abstinence but I don't want to do it for the rest of my life. Presumably management is a huge moneyspinner because you basically do the diet for another three months.
