Saxenda or WLS

Hi all.
I'm mid 40s and have been overweight for years, have zero willpower and since stopping smoking 7 yrs ago the weight has piled on.
I'm 5ft8 and weigh just under 20stone 😭

I do carry it fairly well, and always dress well, hair, nails and make up always done etc but I feel gross.
No diabetes, cholesterol normal etc, although I was diagnosed with pcos about 10 years ago - GP wouldn't treat me as I wasn't trying to conceive as we'd completed our family. I'm also a horrendous snorer. Luckily no other health issues.

Has anyone tried Saxenda, if so, how much weight did you lose? Slightly nervous about the potential links to thyroid / pancreatic cancer.

I've been looking at WLS, and erring towards a gastric band as it seems less invasive than bypass or sleeve. It's also cheaper, about 6.5k at Spire.

Does anyone have any advice? According to NHS I'd qualify for WLS but would probably wait about 2 years and I really don't want to wait that long.

Thanks for reading x
