Hi,

Day 5 keto and it was quite easy until today! Is this a normal slump? I just feel really run down and hungry and REALLY CONSTIPATED. I’m 4lb less already, though I know it’s water weight.

5”6 - 10st 9 now

Am I doing something wrong? I’m under 40g carb a day. Thanks guys

It's normal, I did a month on keto a couple of years ago....in the first week I had a horrible cold...Google keto cold, it's just your body adapting x

You will be suffering from Keto Flu, to stay in ketosis you would need to be between 20-25g of carbs per day.

Salt and electrolytes help with Keto flu, drink a bouillon drink or bovril drink to help.

Proper keto needs a much lower carb ratio, as a PP said - some people I know try to stay under 20g per day, which can be tricky and requires a lot of forward planning.

I second keeping on top of your electrolytes! The MyProtein website sell electrolyte supplements in tablet form, which I absolutely swear by. They're very reasonably priced and the site are always running discount promotions (no, I don't work for them!).
