I've tried WW before, wasn't overly keen on it. SW is more expensive but wondered if anyone has any advice please

I’ve just moved from sw to use a calorie counting app called nutracheck. I’m finding it much easier. I have had success in sw but I’ve fallen out of love with it. I’m not keen on the fake food ethos also I need portion control. I also just got the two chubby Cubs cook book & it’s brilliant. I would highly recommend.

Thank you daisy! I also prefer calorie counting and want to do protein. Have used MFP before which I find easy. Maybe I'll stick to that x

Neither. I've tried both and I've found that unless you're willing to stick to this exact diet for the rest of your life you will put the weight back on. They work in the short term but it's not a permanent solution.

I've been working with a nutritionalist and am calorie counting to an extent but no food is off limits. I've upped my fruit and veg, water, exercise, steps and cut out booze. I don't mean to be preachy but if you want long term results it really has to be a lifestyle and mindset change not a diet. If you honestly think you will stick to sw and ww forever then all good but it's hard.

The app i mention above can allow you to set targets for protein /sugar etc. They do a 7 day trial. I would really recommend it. When reading the chubby cook book they said they’ve adapted their recipes but still use things like double cream but just smaller quantities and it does make you feel more satisfied. With SW I was constantly thinking about what to eat next & was defo in the ‘I can eat as much as I want mindset’ but this has really changed my thinking. I had a mini magnum today. Counted it & it didn’t then spiral into raiding the cupboards.
I’m also doing couch to 5k & I do the odd 5/2 week.

Totally agree with @Sunshinesusan41
SW has really damaged my relationship with food.

I don't much like either one. Weightwatchers is very hard to stick to. And Slimming world too gimmicky. And the SW meetings are horrific. I wish the calorie counting Slimming was still going but that folded donkeys years ago. Just go to a meeting of esch and see what you think. And maybe buy the magazines and look at the diet.
