Hi guys.
I’ve been feeling very down lately. I’ve gained a 3 stone in the past 6 months. I’m now on 15 stone aged 25 and my height is 5ft 5. I’ve tried so many times to start my diet but after the first few days I give in and my cravings get the better of me.
I wish I had someone to help me and encourage me as the days go on. I find once my first week is over I can get into it but it’s just the first week which is the hardest. I feel I have not many friends or people around me to push me into starting and not giving up. Would love to create a group on this to help me. Who would be interested?

@Smile3
Brilliant!
What I normally do is i have 3 healthy meals a day, breakfast lunch and dinner.
I make some porridge in morning with a boiled egg or something.
Lunch I make homemade soup and a wrap packed with veg, ham/chicken
Dinner I make a chicken stir fry or something else healthy. I also drink 3l a day.
This is what I used to eat when on a healthy diet.
I lost 5 stone in 8 months about 3 years ago on this diet. I felt so good about myself. Now with this whole covid situation I just look forward to sitting down in the evening with a box of Pringles and Netflix.
We can do it together.
If you start on Monday (I always start Monday) and 6 weeks on you could have a stone down.

@Smile3
With all my meals I have 60g of whole meal carbs. For example, my whole meal wrap will be my 60g of healthy carbs for my lunch
60g of basmati rice with my stir fry for dinner etc.
Some people go on no carb diets but I never found they worked for me I find that a reasonable amount of healthy carbs will keep you fuller and also with give you some energy too.

@Smile3
We can weigh in with eachother every week and see our weight loss.
You can add me on Snapchat or something and we can motivate eachother by showing our meals etc

Ooh ok I'm up for this. I know the feeling of lockdown boredom and eating too much. Sounds like a good food plan for yourself. I may aswel use these shakes up as will help me control portions a bit better then possibly look into a more healthier meal plan because like yours as it's about eating the correct foods. Wow that's amazing that you have lost before!
Yes to drinking water.
I was saying to my dp that I havnt even got the oomph to walk the dog any more, but forced myself this morning and will try to get out everyday like I used to. I need to push myself to do this as I hate the horrid bloated feeling at the end of the day.....

Sophia43361 · 26/06/2021 21:52

@Smile3
Yeah you should use the shakes up and then start a more healthier meal plan that you can involve your in.
My daughter and partner eat the same foods as me while on my diet which is great so I’m not cooking 2 separate meals all the time.
I’ve got to the stage where I don’t even feel comfortable going into the shops as nothing fits me and I live in a small town where everyone knows eachother and the last time I went out to the shops I had so many people I know kind of look twice at me to see was it really me. It’s so embarrassing to feel like that.
I also have a fit bit that’s thrown in my dresser so need to get that all charged and do my 10,000 steps again.
The bloated feeling is horrid

Sounds like a plan, will update on weight loss and keep each other motivated.

Smile3 · 26/06/2021 21:58

Thats brilliant my dp has said that he will cut out the crap with me which will help I guess so we both wont be sat at night nibbling on junk foods, also pop has been taken off by food shop order so we cant be sat drinking sugar..will charge my activity tracker up 2mo.

Hows your day gone? Mine has been great. Rushed round this morning so just had some fruit on my travels. Ended up with a calorie counted curry for lunch and chicken salad for tea did have a ice lolly that came in at 99 calories Wink but no mindless eating which is a bonus.
Got a little headache starting now tho so may take a water up to bed with me. Feeling positive!! @Sophia43361
