That’s the goal!

Today was day one. Anyone fancy keeping me company?

I'll join! I lost four stone between July and December last year. Relaxed over Christmas and then with lockdown put two of it back on!

PourMeAMerlot · 17/05/2021 21:34

Wow, that’s an amazing loss!
I lost 1.5 stone last year during the first lockdown... then became thoroughly fed up with the whole situation and put it all back on 🤦‍♀️

So I’m back to where I started but I’m trying again!

What’s your method?

OP posts:
Lostsoul231 · 17/05/2021 21:47

I am trying again too. Determined to stick to it this time!!

PourMeAMerlot · 17/05/2021 22:03

@Lostsoul231 we can do this! I’m bloody determined this time.

Taken myself to bed to avoid temptation (strangely not tempted by anything though 🤔)

Today -
B - 2 coffees
L - Yorkshire provender roast chicken soup
D - Tikka masala with cauliflower rice and salad
S - apple, satsuma and one glass of wine Blush

Ended the day on just over 1000 cals and 15000 steps.

Dropped two pounds overnight! Yes, it’s water weight etc, but I’m still happy to have dropped below 11st again 😃

PourMeAMerlot
May only be water weight but I’m sure it’s given you a good boost this morning 😊

PourMeAMerlot · 18/05/2021 10:39

Grin I was quite pleased even though I know it’s not a ‘real’ loss.

Today’s menu -

B - Small bowl of honey flakes
L - Cauliflower cheese soup
D - Tempura chicken wrapped in lettuce leaves with a side salad.
S - Satsuma & apple. Tea & coffee.

Done just over 8000 steps so far today so very confident I shall hit 10000 by this evening.

PourMeAMerlot · 18/05/2021 21:46

Another day down, stuck to plan (apart from a sneaky caramel freddo!)
Ended on 1246 calories, over 12,600 steps.

Quite proud of myself Grin

Well done
We went to the pub for dinner last night but I was pretty good. Just had a lemonade (driving) l, Caesar salad with sea bass, and a cheeky mini chocolate brownie with a coffee.
Today had porridge with a sprinkling of mixed seeds for breakfast and two coffees. Aim to get 10,000 steps done and a gym session in this evening too.

Lostsoul231 · 19/05/2021 12:41

Lunch was a cheese and coleslaw sandwich with a packet of crisps. Been a hailstorm here so didn’t do my walk at lunchtime but plan to do it after I finish work at 5pm.

PourMeAMerlot · 19/05/2021 14:23

Ooh, I’d love a pub lunch, it’s been so long!
Since being diagnosed as coeliac, eating out has become such a pain that I just don’t bother anymore 😢

Today has been ok so far -

B - One slice of gf toast with 15g of cheese & cherry tomatoes
L - Cauliflower cheese soup
S - Peanut butter & dark chocolate Kind bar
D - Planning on a ham & egg salad so will hopefully have enough cals left over for a cup of tea & a snack this evening.

OP posts:
Lostsoul231 · 19/05/2021 14:36

My main problem is snacking 😬
I’m trying to stick to three meals per day and make sure they contain some protein and carbs so I’m full and not tempted to snack in between.

PourMeAMerlot · 19/05/2021 14:42

I’m in a very snacky mood today. It’s taking all of my willpower not to reach for the crisps!
I think I would’ve caved already by now but I’m supposed to be getting married in September and I feel disgustingly uncomfortable at the size I am

PourMeAMerlot · 19/05/2021 22:05

Another day on track. Was very tired today though and only just scraped my 10000 steps.

I did deep clean the bathroom though so I’m hoping that burnt a few calories!

OP posts:
PourMeAMerlot · 24/05/2021 10:20

Right, I’m back! Fell off track for a few days as I had a birthday meal out and decided to enjoy the weekend!
Back on it now. Already done my 10,000 steps so anything extra today is a bonus.
I have an M&S meal deal tonight which is quite calorific so will try and have a very light day to counteract it.

Hi Smile

Please can I join? Sounds like you're doing well congrats!

I am also getting married in September and also need to try and lose about 2 stone (or just as much as possible really).

Did really well in March dropped 10 pounds then a promotion at work and doing crazy hours meant I just abandoned it and have been hammering the wine and takeaways putting it all back on.Blush

Intend to start properly again tomorrow and would be nice to have company

PourMeAMerlot · 24/05/2021 22:35

👋 hi @marleymummy793 please do join! Amazing that we have very similar goals for very similar reasons!

Today didn’t end too well… managed 17,000 steps in the end but succumbed to coleslaw & crisps along with the very calorific M&S meal 😕
So diet wise, it was bloody awful. But tomorrow is a new day, all the crappy food has been eaten so I’ll be back on the soup, salad & eggs.

I feel pretty awful this evening tbh, I don’t know why I allow myself to overeat, it makes me so uncomfortable! I feel much better when I stick to my light foods.

Congratulations on the promotion & upcoming wedding! 🎉

PourMeAMerlot · 24/05/2021 22:37

Oh god… I forgot to mention the 2 (very large) glasses of wine and the snickers ice cream bar 😞

Right, need to pull myself together and get on with it tomorrow!

marleymummy793 · 25/05/2021 11:26

Great thank you Smile

I have done the same as you yesterday but for weeks rather than a day! Totally get the uncomfortable feeling you mention!

I've started with a fresh slate today. Meal plan is two boiled eggs, veg soup with a tiny amount of cheese and sausage lentil casserole from the hairy dieters book so should be comfortable under 1200 cals but have a long afternoon in the office so think I'll struggle to get much exercise done. Will try though!!

X

Can I join please? Another September bride. Tried my dress on today and fits but it’s not very forgiving. I lost a stone between Jan and April, but not been tracking at all for May and put 5lbs back on, so 1st 2lb left to shift for my goal weight. Dress fitting is in 9 weeks so it’s doable but going to be hard to stay on track now we are beginning to socialise again... I’m going to ty to stick to 1600 calories as I’m quite active.

Bovrilly · 25/05/2021 15:52

Can I join also? Not a September bride but same as PP did great in lockdown 1 and lost about 3 stone and then put some of it back on in miserable lockdown 3.

I like fasting, (well not exactly 'like' but it works for me) and going hard at it at the moment as I have some work coming up in the actual outside world and none of my clothes fit any more. Hoping to lose a quick half stone in 2.5 weeks and then longer goal is another stone by mid August when I have a family get together. 🤞

Jammymare · 27/05/2021 07:49

How is everyone getting on? Somehow I managed to avoid the temptation of the huge pizza that DP had bought for dinner last night and had a large salad and garlic mushrooms. Unfortunately there’s two slices of pizza left in the fridge and I’m working from home today...
I weighed this morning and have lost 4lbs!!! I know it will be water weight particularly as I had my period last week, but I’m chuffed as it’s the most I’ve ever lost in a week before, I’m usually a demoralising 1lb off 1lb back on.
