Still got about 5 stone to go
My fitness pal, logging everything, stuck to 1200 cal. Walking more, trying to do 10k a day. But average probably 8k.
I’ve been overweight for 25 yrs even though I was a very sporty teenager.
I usually get shaky, sick, headachy.
None of that
I don’t know what’s going on !

Congrats! Did you feel hungry on 1200 kcal?

FourteenthDoctor · 08/05/2021 17:58

I try 1400 and my stomach still thinks my throats been cut!

tiredanddangerous · 08/05/2021 17:59

Well done op!

Do you feel hungry a lot? I'd be starving on 1200 calories.

GelfBride · 08/05/2021 18:02

It depends on what you eat. The lower the carb the better as the hunger comes when you get the sugar low after the high. On keto or carnivore you don't get the high so you don't get the low and the hunger.

fishonabicycle · 08/05/2021 18:07

Be careful. That is really low calories and when you the initial euphoria you feel wears off you will be starving and laying yourself open to binging. Maybe increase your Calories a bit to a more sustainable amount ?

Stokefolk · 08/05/2021 18:09

Yes you can definitely do that!!!

My only tip for you is to continue to log food even if you have an ‘off’ day. 2000 calories is maintenance level so if you must binge, do it within the 2000calories and then pick up again the next day.

Well done! You’ve inspired me to sort myself out

It’s great that you’ve felt well @Veuvelily.

What have you been eating?

BlackDaffodil · 08/05/2021 18:20

That is FANTASTIC

Veuvelily · 08/05/2021 19:13

I can honestly say I’ve felt hungry once. But I’m not very strict about meal times. I eat when I feel like it. Sometimes it’s slightly over 1200.
I’m not concentrating on low carb, low fat, just old fashioned calories.
I have cereal w milk
Mainly prepacked salads, quinoa, beans, prawns, salmon, crab. Kirsty’s microwave meals.
Warburtons Danish bread at 61cal a slice
I have a cheddar with primula for a cheeky snack!

Yes I inspired too, currently walking around the house to reach my 10k steps!

Veuvelily · 08/05/2021 19:55

Yeah I did cheat with a dominos pizza but I just logged it, only took me to 1800 cals

I like it when mfp predicts what you’ll weigh in 5 weeks if every day was like today.
I think that’s motivation.

BlackDaffodil · 08/05/2021 21:11

yes I think logging honestly helps immensely,

Well done 🌸

Veuvelily · 09/05/2021 10:54

I think it’s a bit of a tricky time now, the scales aren’t going to move as quickly , I’ll just have to keep at it

OP posts:
BlueVelvetStars · 13/05/2021 02:56

Veuvelily · 13/05/2021 15:06

Veuvelily · 15/06/2021 09:57

24lbs in 9weeks!
Had 2 days when my calorie intake was mainly beer, but I just logged it, scales stayed the same that week, but they’re moving again.

That's an amazing loss. Logging everything on MFP really helps me too. Even if I've eaten junk as long as I log it I find it easier to stay on track.
