Hi All

I've been in a rut for ages, just getting bigger and bigger and I need to do something - does anyone have any recommendations for books, websites, youtubers...anything that might help get me in the right frame of mind and get motivated?

xx

Not great to be honest! This week has mostly been back to back meetings which usually means I end up grazing and snacking just to keep going!

Morning all
WFH today and no more rubbish in house
So my plan is to stay in pyjamas and work all day .. then less likely to go to shop for chocolate

Well I managed to get through yesterday.

I've decided on calorie counting, 1200 a day. It definitely makes me think twice when I read the calories on the labels.

Now that I've got through day one I am feeling a little more positive.

Well done @5NOV
Good start - one day at a time

Yeah I'm doing this one day at a time. If I look at the bigger picture it scares me.

Although I only have around two stone to lose, I really don't carry weight well. My stomach looks huge and my face looks much rounder, don't even get me started on the wobbly double chin. I'm not very tall, 5'4 so every pound shows on me.

Not YouTube but please Google ec method. They are scientifically based and supportive coaching team. Their podcasts are so helpful. I lost amazing amount of body fat following them.

Haven't been on here for a while and just wanted to see how you are all doing? I have started the cambridge diet but not sure how I feel about it yet....

Top tip: Go into this loving yourself
Top tip 2: Stop with the restrictive diet mentality. It will not help in the long term.

Try this to start: make a food plan (not diet) 24 hours ahead for what you are WILLING to eat. Doing this a full day ahead is important (to do with how the brain makes decisions). Make the plan very un-diety. Just make it something you can commit to eating. Don't stuff it with salads and so on if you're eating pizza today. Do this for a few days (builds a sense of commitment in yourself that you will do what you say you will) then ask what can I eat tomorrow that's just a little better?

I have stuff to advise on handling food cravings too but start with the realistic food plan to start.

Let me know if you have questions.
