Hi! I had my little boy 4 months ago and didn't put on too much weight. Since I have had him I've not lost the weight I did put on and I feel like there's a little more around my tummy than I'd like. Anyway, my boyfriend asked me if I was comfort eating 😱 and I'm just so annoyed with him. I asked my mum if she thinks I am and she said she thinks I'm eating because I'm bored. I'm sorry but I gave birth 4 months ago, had a traumatic birth so couldn't move far for months after, don't have time to do anything but look after my little boy who is going through quite a demanding phase - yet the people who are closest to me are forming opinions about what I eat? I think it's awful - what do you think? I'm just shocked and feel like taking my baby and running away. I'll lose weight when I feel ok and have the time - I don't need this input.

It is harsh. Loosing baby weight isn’t easy, eating good after a baby also isn’t easy due to time etc.
But to be honest if my partner or mum said that to me I don’t think I’d be too upset I think it would make me realise I need to make a change.
Just take their comments with a pinch of salt.

Don't take it too personally. They are perhaps right- boredom eating is a big pitfall which I struggle with too. I started calorie counting 3 weeks after my c section, I couldn't do much other than walking short distances but the CC gave me a little focus other than mum duties. I have a 3 year old too (she had just turned 2 at this time- but went to nursery every day to help with reduced movement due to section). I don't CC religiously now but its a great focus to have as a new mum and it gets results. Good luck!
