Oh god I need to weigh myself

Just that really. Did really well in lockdown #1 and actually lost weight. Felt fantastic and maintained for the rest of the year. But have basically spent the time since Christmas eating and avoiding the scales. My saving grace is that I have continued to exercise daily. I know I’ve gained muscle in my arms and legs through weight training but... sadly some (prob lots tbh) of it is also flab.

As my most slender I was 9 and a half stone. Maintained around 9 stone 12 which looked good on me. Now I think I’m somewhere around 11 + stone. Eeek. Starting my new healthy habits tomorrow so I need to weigh myself but....

Someone please hold my hand!

How is everyone doing today? I've stuck to healthy eating this week and lost 2lb so far so I'm pleased with that. Down to 10.4 stone this morning. No drinking which I find easy once I get into the habit and I'm not allowing myself any alcohol, chocolate or crisps etc until I've lost at least another 2lb. Really want to get down to 9.7 but think it might take a while! My job is sedentary which is why I've put on this weight - plus snacking and being greedy! Hope everyone else doing ok - keep going!

@chorusline79 got 2 walks as weather is nice really hate walking and excercise that is the part I find hard.
I am a long way off your weight
Well done on your 2lb loss

chorusline79 · 15/04/2021 20:58

@Andi2020 well done on the 2 walks, nice weather definitely makes it much nicer to get out. I hope it's going ok for you. I'm off work tomorrow so have already broken my no drinking rule as having a glass of red wine ( I did resist chocolate cake!)

HumphreyCobblers · 15/04/2021 21:09

chorusline79 I have exactly the same weights as you, even down to being nine stone seven last year 😁.

OP I did the dreaded weigh in three days ago and it was worse than I thought (it always is ha ha).

I have started low carbing and have dropped three pounds since Tuesday. Good luck everyone.

Morning all! Glad to hear you’re all doing so well! All good here too. Day #5 of the new regime and I think my body has adjusted to it because I’m feeling good today after feeling weak and cranky yesterday. I did a a good YouTube strength training workout this morning and will try to fit in a walk during my lunch break.

Keep going everyone - let’s finish the week on a high!

@HumphreyCobblers I have been try the low carb diet this week but feel weak so have to eat a bit fruit which is not allow in first 2 weeks.
I want to loose weight but not make myself Ill in the process
Can't stop thinking about crisps🙈

HumphreyCobblers · 17/04/2021 04:19

Andi2020 - the adjustment is tricky, make sure you drink lots of water and be careful to eat something salty if you feel a bit wobbly. It is a good diet for health once you adjust, I follow the Bootcamp rules of veg/ salad at every meal.

SomewhereInAnotherLife · 19/04/2021 15:46

How did everyone do this week? I lost 6 pounds on the meal replacements. I know it’s probably mostly water weight but I feel good about it and motivated to continue. I’m going to ease up a bit now and switch to the 5:2 which I’ve had success with before.

Hello! I lost four pound but that was post period so I would have lost some of that anyway. At least I survived the weekend without temptation

SomewhereInAnotherLife · 19/04/2021 17:47

That’s great Humphrey. Well done! I can never decided if weighing in on a Sunday night is a good move on my part or a very bad one! Grin

Good luck with the week ahead! My aim is to try hard to shift the scales so they show nine at the front instead of ten! Maybe by next Monday, if I stay off the booze 😁

Andi2020 · 19/04/2021 21:24

Only lost 1.5lb but it's a loss.
Need to stay off the fruit which I find hard on low carb diet.
Drinking loads of water

Misspacorabanne · 20/04/2021 18:02

I've had a bad week! But, back to it now! I find it hard to stay motivated, especially with so much Easter chocolates of the kids about the house! Blush
Anyway fresh start tomorrow! Going to keep trying to think of the fact that summers nearly up on us and I need to get myself back in to my summer clothes! But the good news is the scales have remained the same and not up! Grin
How's everyone else getting on? Well done if you've had a loss! Smile

HumphreyCobblers · 22/04/2021 07:04

Hello! I have stuck to my low carbing like glue and am now two pounds heavier than when I weighed before. This is what keeps happening - pinning my hopes on getting some HRT as think it is peri menopausal hormone related.

But it is so annoying! I could cope with staying the same weight but to actually get heavier is awful! I will stick to the diet though or heaven knows where it would end Smile
