MissInvisible, soups made from most vegies - carrots, leek and coriander, asparagus, carrots and corriander, beetroot, cabbage, carrots and tomatoes, tomato soup, celery, carrots, garlic, onions - you can experiment and it doesn't take long - chop the veg, put in cold water, bring to the boil, add herbs and spices and in 25 minutes blizz it all, reheat and enjoy. Salads are good as well with just a drizzle of olice oil and 2 spoons of lemon. i'd have pasta and pots in small quantaties with lot's of veg - may be onions, mushrooms, red peppers, courgettes, green beans - anything you fancy really and a good helping of tomato and red onion salad.

Try something like weetabix for lunch, around 150 calories for 2, and they are filling.

SweetSnowflake · 10/11/2007 08:58

right, i like weetabix and love my cereal, will try that, managed a few cheerios with ss milk for brekky, but dp wants to take us out for tea so think ill stick to a salad something plain, its funny having such a big appetite normally, i maight as well take advantage of it while it lasts

SweetSnowflake, salads are very good for slimming - try to make them yourself and use a simple dressing - 1 spoon of vergin olive oul, 2 to 3 spoons of lemon, crashed garlic and herbs seasoned with freshely ground black pepper if liked. personally i stay away from cherrios, they are full of sugar. I have to have sugar in my coffee though. Quark is very good if you like it or 100% fat free Greek yogurt which taste so creamy and you can just flavour some of your salads with it - I love boiled cut in chanks or grated beetroot with crashed walnuts and ! tbs of greek yougurt, you can have a squise of lemon juice with it. Another beautiful cereal you could try is buckweat which you boil for 20 minutes and you could have it with some meat or with milk - it's not for everyone's taste though but i love it. millet is good as well.
