Period Week!!

Hi everyone, basically this week has been AF and I've weighed myself this morning to see I've only lost .5lbs this week 😩🤷🏻‍♀️
I've been sticking to counting calories and keeping up on my steps (maybe even done more this week than usual) and so far lost 7lbs in 3 weeks.. I'm just gutted that I've been putting all the hard work in (especially trying hard not to use this week as an excuse to eat everything in sight 🤣🤣🧁🍰) and just to see a tiny half a pound loss! 🤦🏻‍♀️
My mum has said it's normal to either gain or maintain because of excess water etc but I just wondered if anyone else has experienced this before I decide to stuff it all and just eat whatever I want today 🙈🤣

I can put on up to half a stone in period week. Skip the scales until it’s over, then weigh yourself. You will have lost and you are doing great!

Oh that's actually made me feel a lot better thank you 😊 just to know it's normal and not like what I've been doing has just stopped working 🤦🏻‍♀️🤣 I really hope I see a better loss next week.. My clothes do feel a bit looser so that's something at least 🤷🏻‍♀️

I always go up a bit during that week , keep going and hopefully the next week you will see more of a drop.

I always weigh more around my period , usually 1-2 kilo more. I retain water like crazy !

Thank you everyone for commenting.. I've weighed myself this morning and lost a full 2lb🥳 so even though I had a bit of a cheat at the weekend I kept up on my steps and was back strict yesterday so I think that's a good result considering 🙈😊

I find that I put on half a stone on that irritating week. But I persevere through it. Remember it's water mainly, and you lose the bloatedness after a few days. Remain strong!💪
