12 Week Weight Loss - TTC

Hi All,

I thought I’d start a thread to make myself accountable.
Me and my fiancé have been TTC for over a year with no success and turns out that’s in part due to a polyp that I’m having removed within the next few weeks. 1-2 months after that we will be able to continue trying for a baby.
I am also obese and my current BMI is 46 Shock
I have decided to do Exante for the next 12 weeks, at which point I should be allowed to continue TTC and will move onto healthy eating.
I am so desperate for a baby and know that being a lower weight will not only help me to conceive but also make being pregnant easier and less risk to a baby. I am hoping to lose at least 3lbs a week over the next 12 weeks which would get my BMI below 40.

I’m starting Sunday as it’s my 33rd birthday Saturday.
I’m seeing this as a now or never thing. 12 weeks would take me to 20th June, which is also the day before (hopefully) lockdown restrictions are lifted. So if I can achieve my goal there will be so much to look forward to!
If any wants to join in with me I’d love a buddy!

I’ll do my weigh-in and measurements on Sunday morning!

I'll join in with you - I really need to lose the weight and keep restarting so many times! I've not decided whether to just calorie count or do something else.

@Tryingagainagain I’ve started today, mentally I feel super ready for it so I’m excited to get going.
I’m doing Exante meal replacements x 3 a day and also a 200 calorie meal. I’ve prepped my meals for the next 3 days so that I don’t need to look at any other food. I find the early days are when I will mess up so if I can avoid the kitchen that will definitely help!

I’m a serial weigher, I normally weigh every day on a diet but then obviously I don’t get to see the scales drop by much so I’m considering trying to weigh every 2 weeks as the higher losses should keep me motivated!

@pikapika88 how’s it going? I’ve struggled and it’s only my first week! Weighed yesterday and I’d lost 2 pounds but I really need to get more focussed as I find the second week hard!
