increased appetite

I am on SSRI (sertraline) and my appetite has extremely increased. I put on 5 kilos in 1 month. Please help!

Is that a common side effect of Sertraline? I thought it was meant to be relatively ok with regard to weight gain. Not sure how to get around it tbh, I think it depends on whether gaining weight adds to yur depression. Think you should discuss this with your GP.

I saw a psychiatrist but he didn't help much re the side effect. I am almost sure it is sertraline's side effect though. And when I gain weight I feel more depressed. Vicious circle.

I know how horrible this all is - I hope you find something that helps. Do you drink plenty of water? That often helps me not eat for a while...
