So so fed up!!!

I was consistently losing 2lb a week on about 1700 calories, was using MFP to count calories and was eating about 1650-1700 calories a day which sounds a lot but I am doing a lot of exercise, about 800-1,000 calories a day in exercise.

The last 4 weeks I have upped my calories a bit as a couple of sites I went on said I should have a few more plus I have gone a bit awry on the diet front but was quite happy to reduce my loss to maybe 1-1.5lb a week instead of 2lbs but I have lost absolutely nothing, zero, nada.

My calorie intake has gone up to 1900 a day but I am still burning about 1,000 a day spinning, running, strength and dog walking and my TDEE is 1900 so in theory I should still be losing weight. The jump up to 1900 from 1650/1700 does not equate to the difference of 2lb lost per week to 0.

I am going back down to about 1500 calories a day to see if things change!

So fed up! Please give me hope

Eating back exercise calories is always a bit tricky.
Are you quite close to your goal weight? The lighter you get, the more it takes to burn calories.
Your plan to reduce to 1500 will get you over this plateau, I'm sure.
Your exercise plan sounds amazing, that's a very active lifestyle. Have you always exercised that much? It could be that you are replacing fat for muscle therefore the scales are not budging but you are losing fat. Get one of those scales that measure body fat, they are fab and not too expensive.

Thank you, yes I have exercised this much for the last couple of years but up until about 3 month ago I would have a few more rest days a week. My apple watch tells me I have an average of 1,200-1,300 active calories a day on top of my TDEE which I have had officially worked out at 1900 for my current weight which is 13 stone and I am 5'7".

It makes no sense at alll.....:( :( But yes you're right, I think a jump down to 1500 calories should get things moving.

I do have the scales that measure fat etc and they say everything is exactly the same so it's not that I am building more muscle either!

Just feeling fed up!

I hope the scales move for you 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
You could also go back to your regular rest days, I did see a lady on here who was putting on a bit too much strain on her body with exercise which caused inflammation and in turn, her weight wasn’t shifting. So maybe you need to group your exercise on certain days to allow for a rest day? You can still walk and do stretches on your rest day, but it would give the body a chance to recover.

I have considered that....it is a bit scary as I get such a high from exercising but I do think it would be helpful to have a break for a couple of days. Thank you for answering x
