Yesterday I started the "one meal a day" diet. Has anyone else tried it? Any tips?

I was fairly interested but I read somewhere it has some health drawbacks that other versions of IF don't?

I will try and find the source :) I do love intermittent fasting and the idea of eating whatever I want is tempting but I worry about overall health and meal composition. Let me know how you get on!

I already do 16:8 but have started OMAD on Mondays & Tuesdays. Only started this week & am only looking to lose 4lbs to bring me back to my preferred weight.
I am not finding it too difficult as I am already doing IF, won’t weigh myself until next week now though.

I’ve been IF for some time, currently OMAD as need to kick start weight loss, after some platoeing and eating more just stalls my loss too much, but it’s hard! I have a short eating window mon to fri and try to be more flexible at weekends. I’m over 50, I walk daily about 3miles.

IF has been great for stopping snacking for me especially at night. Now it’s hot water for me. I still cook meals for family thou,

I'm only on day 3 buy I'm trying to make my one meal as healthy as possible. Lots of veg cooked/prepped in different ways, some beans and some fish.

I'm finding it easier than calorie counting and try to just put food out of my mind for most of the day.

I did break myself in gently and do a few days of just a very light lunch and dinner.

I am! I started on Monday so today is day 4. I didn't get quite enough calories in last night's dinner and I'm regretting it today, so I'll make sure to up it a bit tonight. It's a different mindset to get in to though as usually I try and restrict food groups (and then end up miserable and bitter about it) but this feels so different. I love being able to eat what I want as long as it's mostly healthy and in my 1 hour window. I've lost 2lbs already.
