I'm due gallbladder removal surgery at the start of next month and for two weeks before the surgery I need to eat a very low calorie diet of 800 calories per day. I've chosen the diet of 2 x slimfast shakes per day and then a 300 calorie meal of an evening.
I've never been on a diet before or restricted what I eat for more than a day, so this is going to be a huge shock to my system!
I'm determined to stick to the diet plan as I really need this surgery to go ahead and I really need to lose some weight, but I think mentally it's going to be really hard.
I work part time from home two days per week and the rest of the week I'm at home with my 20 month old DD so I'm not very active/don't have many distractions from being hungry when the urge to snack arises.
If you followed a similar plan before gallbladder surgery or just the diet for general weight loss, I'd love to hear your experiences and how you coped.
