Drinking water - does it make any difference really?

I know we should drink water for health, skin, hydration, digestion etc etc blah blah

Does drinking 2 litres of water everyday make any difference to weight loss? Anyone feel like it has made a difference?

I feel like its just a blah blah thing that every single diet/lifestyle has to say?
