DP had only told me this week that his work Christmad function is 6 weeks tonight.

I gave birth to DD3 3 1/2 weeks ago and have manage to lose 1 stone, but still want to lose another 7lbs at least.

Anyone want to join me.

I seem to be on quite a few of the slimming threads atm but I'll join you. I've been dieting ever since I had ds 6 years ago. I need to loose about 2 stone but every time I get to near 1, I get hacked off with the whole lot and put it back again. This last effort in which I really am trying. I'm eating very healthily and less carbs - I also have bought a smalller plate so it looks alot and tried to up my fluids. But, saying that, I have not felt hungry in the 2 weeks I've been doing it and lost 5lbs the first week and I'll let you know tomorrow what I've done this week.

I was just going to start a thread. I weigh 10st 11lbs. Have got down from 11st 7lbs. I tend to loose a bit of weight, get smug and start again, vicious circle really. Would love to be about 10st or under for Christmas. Congrats on the baby WTP.

Good luck ladies and let the weight loss commence - continue.

oh yes please, I'm also sporting some baby weight from ds2 &ds3, I weighed for the first time in years yesterday and was shocked to be nearly 10 stone, I was sure I was about 9 stone which is what I always 'used' to weigh....

so I would love to shift half a stone in 6 weeks

lets do it...erm... how? I've never dieted!

I'm up for trying to lose some weight.

Not having breakfast is my big problem, so will try and at least have a banana and a few nuts each morning.

Congratulations on your new baby, Winnie.

obabadabobba, try to save the food your kids didn't want to eat and re-use it. I had some bolognese sauce which was too much for one of my kids and i cooled it down and put in my freeza and some time later I defrosted it and used it to stuff my peppers. it was lovely. You could re-use many foods: boiled potatoes are nice cut and baked with some vegies or even ith just some egg poored over them + herbs, hard boiled eggs could be added to a plate with your soup or chopped with boiled rice, you can experiment with so many ideas having some left over vegies and meat. you can always google left overs and find plenty of ideas on the net. The worst thing is to eat them when you don't really need them - you had your meal and it'simportant to resist having to eat after the kids. I know it as a fact because my mum put on a lot of weight doing just that when we were little. We have enough temptations without it, really.

obabadabobba · 05/11/2007 09:47

are you enjoying a nice healthy breakfast this morning wobbly!

WinnieThePooh · 05/11/2007 17:59

Eveving all,

How have we done today.

I had 2 weetabix with semi skimmed milk for breakfast. I made pasta with a chesse & ham sauce for dinner tonight.

Managed to avoid the chocs when at the shops earlier.

I hope everyone else is doing ok.
