Simple Calorie Counting

Seems like a bit of a 'duh' question but does anyone do plain calorie counting and lost weight?

My go to is low carb, it's worked really well for me in the past, I understand how it all works etc but I just can't seem to get back onboard with it, or stick to it for long. Lots of carbs make me feel bloated so I think I'm carb sensitive and all my weight is around my middle but I need to find something I can stick to.

I've never actually done simple calorie counting. I have the Fast 800 books so will give those a read again but I'm hoping that I can lose weight by cutting down, not by cutting anything out.

Get yourself some counting app. I use My fitness pal, others will recommend other ones.

You can calculate your tdee online (i would use more than 1 calculators, numbers may vawy slightly) and take off 500. Unless it would take you under 1200. It becomes bit miserable and not healthy long term.
And then you just weight, measure and log.
It's pain in the arse first week or two😂 It settles.

I zigzag (or cycle) calories and it works well for me. It's bit more natural imho than having just, for example, 1500 a day every day. I think different daily calory allowances are a premium on MFP though.

Good luck!
