I’m trying to lose a stone that I put on over lockdown. One day I w eigh myself and I’m nine stone five, the next day I’m nine stone 11. I’m trying to get back to just under nine stone. Is it normal for your weight to fluctuate so much?

When you place the scales will affect the reading especially if you have floorboards. Always try to put them in the same place.

There is lots of discussion on this because some people's weight fluctuates like crazy. That's why I weight once a week but check sometimes throughout fir fun. 2 kilo up and down easy. After having drinks and salty-ish food? I don't dare to step on scale for 3 days😂

Agree with pp. Make sure you always put scale in a same place and on hard surfaces

Get used to fluctuations. You can measure everyday at the same time to see if you see any patterns. It might fluctuate during the week, due mainly to lifestyle and over the month due to mainly hormones.

This is why I only weigh once a week and look at the general trend. Also ignore period weeks.
