Low fat diet

I have issues with my gall bladder and had the really bad pain over the weekend- went to GP to get checked out and he told me I need to eat a low fat diet and lose weight. My bmi is 33 (5ft 6 and 15 stone)- the bmi calculator says I should be between 8.5 stone and 11 stone to be healthy. I carry a lot of weight around my middle and on my thighs. I didn't think I ate too badly if I'm honest- enjoy treats and cook fresh most days- I know what I need to swap out (white bread replaced with whole meal etc). Does anyone have recommendations for recipe books? I just need a kick up the arse.

I don't know recipe books, but if you are looking for some low fat flavoursome food I can highly recommend quark. It's really versitile.
And really good non stick pans. I now don't use oil 99% of time because there is no need really.

Is the low fat diet for the gallbladder or to lose weight?

Try the Hairy Dieters books or Pinch of Nom

Forks over knives has a lot of recipes without fat. They are vegan but I guess you could add lean meat if you felt you had to. They are certainly healthy!
