A thread for people to celebrate moving down a BMI category!

I thought I would start a thread for anybody who wants to celebrate moving down a BMI category.

I am feeling happy today as I am no longer obese, now 'just' overweight! My BMI was 38 in January 2020 and is now 29 (loss of 3stone 6lb). Still a way to go to get into the healthy range but heading in the right direction, I guess.

So please join me in posting your BMI victories here as, let's face it, it is hard work and deserves celebration!

Congrats! You've done very well!

I've recently moved from severely obese (i am pretty sure it used to be morbidly obese a year ago?) to being just normal obese😂

middleager · 04/02/2021 20:47

Well done. That's phenomenal.

I've only been cutting down since the start of the year. On my way to losing half a stone and moving from obese to overweight. BMI 30 currently.

I've only had a BMI of 25 once in my adult life. I was younger and it was bloody hard work, so hoping I can settle around 27 eventually.

I went from obese in August and am now overweight. Woo hoo!

HalfShrunkMoreToGo · 04/02/2021 20:52

Ooohhh I like this thread.

BMI of 34.4 and obese 5th August 2020
BMI of 29.9 and overweight 4th November

Currently 27.5 and 17lbs till I hit the healthy BMI range.

That’s a fantastic achievement, well done!

JustCallMeGriffin · 04/02/2021 21:02

Well done everyone. I can't wait to only be overweight. I was BMI 41 in Aug last year and now I'm BMI 37.

It's really slow going but I feel so much healthier already. Definitely worth persevering with Smile

Well done, everyone! The BMI numbers seem to take forever to go down but we will get there. Hoping to come back when I get into next category - although may be take a while. Onwards and downwards!

My highest Bmi was over 35.
It was just over 30 last October.
21.4 this morning Grin

One of the best things is that I know I am not going to be fobbed off if I need to see a doctor (it took them 5 years to diagnose a textbook case of gallstones because they said my pains must be caused by stuffing my face...)
