Just to say, despite the "losing 1 and a half stone" thread going quiet, there's still a little band of us on there .

I'm going to stay on and carry on posting my weight loss/gain on a Tuesday.

I've also joined the "support for the long term slimmers" thread, as once I've got rid of 1 and a half stones, I have a lot more to go!

Will you keep going with me ladies on the original thread ?

am pissed but managed 2 save 4 choccied 4 my boys

JuniperDewdrop · 11/11/2004 13:34

well done you

I have just developed a sweet tooth at the grand old age of 36 after years of being a savoury lover. Almost showed myself up this morning at a mate's who'd made mars bar cakes but managed to control myself and let everyone else have some

ernest · 16/11/2004 08:32

i am pathetic. 63.6, so nearly 1 lb (14 oz to be specific!) up. I guess having lemon sponge for breakfast yesterday didn't help but I did take the boys for a rare 'treat' to McDonalds & didn't order anything for myself , oh, but now I remember, oops, did reward my self disciple with ... a cheese fondue. oh no, I'm not doing this diet thing right am I...? I seem to have lost my way the last couple of weeks. Hope you've all been a tiny bit more successful than me. Must remember - McDonalds=bad. cheese fondue= also bad. Lemon sponge (with marscapone) = also bad, (esp. for breakfast)

PuffTheMagicDragon · 16/11/2004 09:20

Ernest - you're still posting, so you still want to lose weight, that's good!

ps I LOVE cheese fondue - yum.

I have lost 3 and a quarter pounds this week. Hurrah! Only another 81 lbs to go! I've lost about 36lbs so far altogether (not since we joined the old lose one and a half stone thread, as I started before then). Crikey, this is hard work though, especially as I've just discovered I can make quite edible cakes and biscuits .

OP posts:
ernest · 16/11/2004 14:57

3 and a quarter pounds!!! that's fantastic. i'm really impressed.

Furball · 16/11/2004 21:51

Sorry folks, I forgot it was Tuesday.....

Well done Puff, that really is fantastic, I on the other hand put on, for the first time in 8 weeks mind. It was the grand total of 1/2 lb. Deserved it though, been abit over on points everyday. Although, was a bit peeved when arriving home DH announced that it amounted to 250 grams!!! I should have visited the toilet first me thinks

Oh well, I'm off to Centre Parcs Friday and I'll carry on on Tuesday. Hopefully I won't go too bonkers!!

PuffTheMagicDragon · 17/11/2004 10:11

have a good time furball .

OP posts:
PuffTheMagicDragon · 23/11/2004 09:11

Down a pound this week, although I don't deserve to be.

OP posts:
Furball · 23/11/2004 09:28

Well done puff!

I'm not bothering with the scales this week, but do hope to be on track for a loss next week. Fingers crossed and all that.

ernest · 24/11/2004 08:45

oh no I'm creeping up - too ashamed to admit it, will be good this week. will be good. will b.

was centre parcs good? I never been

PuffTheMagicDragon · 24/11/2004 15:20

Yes, how was centreparcs Furball - I've often thought about going, but my children are 3 and 1 - wondered whether its better for older children?

OP posts:
Furball · 24/11/2004 19:55

Well I've been twice but both times with a group of girls!! Whilst DH has looked after DS at home. But there are loads of children all different ages so I assume they are well catered for

Furball · 29/11/2004 20:36

Oh bum, just got back from weigh in and put on 3 lbs. Deserve to probably as have been a little lapse, but just makes the whole loss verses weeks thing look absolute pants! And to top it all I'mm off to London Thursday for 4 days so will have to try and watch what I eat, just to stop me being nearly back where I started 2 months ago and christmas is nearly here with all that food!! Crikey jeeks.

PuffTheMagicDragon · 30/11/2004 09:02

I've put on too furball. we can be fed up together this week.

I've put on a pound.

Most rubbish of weeks - wisdom tooth infection agony - still not sorted - have been eating cakes and soft bread as I can't chew any thing else. So why didn't I just not eat anything? Because when I'm miserable, I grow a snout, start making oink oink noises and reach for the comfort food .

OP posts:
ernest · 30/11/2004 09:03

I've pretty much lost what I gained last time due to over indulgence & cheese fondue - doesn't help that I've found individual ones, so can easily make it just for myself, oh no, must resist! Having hideous toothache all week has also helped

my deadline for loosing one stone or so is actually on Thursday, for my little 'holiday', so I don't think I'm gonna make it, and like you furball I'm going to have to be good.

I't's such a pain that you work for weeks to loose a bit, but can put on loads at the drop of a hat. not fair
won't be here next Tues so have a good week or rather, fortnight. I guess I'll have to change my target to New Year's Eve - I WILL start 2005 the size I want to be.

PuffTheMagicDragon · 30/11/2004 09:05

Well done for losing ernest - nice to know one of the "team" has managed it.

OP posts:
Furball · 30/11/2004 09:09

Well done Ernest! Like Puff says at least one of us is making the effort.

Come on guys, we can do this......

PuffTheMagicDragon · 30/11/2004 09:12

Think we need a group hug and pep talk.....

(((((((((group hug))))))))))))

we can lose the weight...we can lose the weight....we can lose the weight... we can lose the weight.

OP posts:
ernest · 30/11/2004 10:15

Thanks, makes me feel good even tho i know I don't deverve it. OK, I've got 2 weeks b4 i post again so I'm going to give myself a short term goal that in these 2 weeks I WILL have lost 4 llbs. I am 63.7. I WILL break through with 63 k barrier.

So what will you offer for the next 2 weeks. Lets have some short term targets & see if this works, right?

Furball · 30/11/2004 10:23

I'd like to at least loose the 3 1/2 lb that I've put on over the last 2 or so weeks But, I'm going to London with DH and DS for 5 days this week so will have to be really on my toes as to what I don't stuff in my mouth. I suppose we will be doing alot of walking so that might give me some respite and also I'm going to try and only have 3 points less today and tommorrow to give me a head start. So hopefully when you're next here in two weeks, I can proudly say I've done it. And if I lost another 1 lb (really hopeful sigh) I'd be down to a straight stone, which would be something on the horizon.

PuffTheMagicDragon · 30/11/2004 10:26

In the next 2 weeks I aim to lose 3lbs. I'm going to Copenhagen for the weekend, so don't realistically expect to lose any more than that over this period.

We can do this ladies .

OP posts:
StuffTheMagicTurkey · 07/12/2004 18:54

Doh! Failed miserably -I oinked my way through vast amounts of delicious food in Copenhagen and have put on a pound. So I need to lose the 3lbs in the next 7 days.

StuffTheMagicTurkey · 15/12/2004 22:07

lost 3 and three quarters of a pound this week - at last!

ernest · 16/12/2004 14:56

hey, turkey -how'd you do it?????????????????????????? how was copenhagen apart from nice food> Always fancied Scandinavia

You can tell I'm avoiding fessing up.

juniperdropofbrandy · 16/12/2004 15:12

11.6 so not lost a sausage I've been really good this week too, even did some exercise. Well, sort of did if you count running up and down in soft play for half an hour? It certainly had me sweating!
