Options with skimmed milk is bloody lovely

Maybe it defeats the point a little, but I need something chocolatety in my life at all times. The options powder is 40 calories a sachet, and the skimmed milk is 35 calories for 100ml. Much nicer than with water, but still not going mental with the calories.

Skimmed milk in general has been a bit of a revelation to me, only this last week.

I'd always remembered it was vaguely grey milk-water. But it's been absolutely fine in latte, ditto porridge.

Even DD(4) said "this milk is delicious".

I've never had any issues with it, but I've always had to get at least semi skimmed or other family members start moaning. It's a pretty easy switch for me.

Options Belgian chocolate orange is amazing, Cadbury highlights is more chocolatey though if you don't want a novelty flavour, it tastes much more like real hot chocolate.

If you go on the Twinings website they have all the Options flavours and there are some really good ones, I like the white chocolate and summer berries one for a change. They often do 2 for 1 deals.

Full fat milk is much better for weightloss

lazylinguist · 23/01/2021 17:15

I hate skimmed milk. Semi-skimmed only has a measly 1.7g of fat per 100ml anyway, and only 15kcal more than skimmed. Not that fat is bad for you.

Usually yes, but I have gallstones so I'm not allowed fat. Sorry, I should have put that in my op.

Oh shit, just seen how much sugar is in them. Better knock that on the head!
