Has anyone done this? I bought the 8 week blood sugar recipe book today. What results did you achieve if you did it? Was it easy to follow?

I have completed Day 1 of the Blood Sugar Diet and was pleasantly surprised! I didn't feel hungry at all. My menu looked like this:

Breakfast: Greek yoghurt (full fat) with a handful of mixed berries and toasted sunflower and flax seeds.

Lunch: apple and cinnamon porridge (made with rolled oats, semi skimmed milk and grated apple). I'm not a salad fan and failed to get ingredients to make the soups but will try the soups for lunch.

Dinner: Thai red chicken curry and cauliflower rice (made with full fat coconut milk) - this was very nice! The cauliflower rice was a decent rice substitute.

Drank green tea during the day.

I started this diet because I felt like I was on the road to developing Type 2 diabetes. I love sweet things too much. Needed a way to control my blood sugar (and lose weight).

I am going to complete the 8 weeks and see what happens.

I also had a handful of nuts and dried fruit mix as a snack between lunch and dinner.

In total, the whole day I ate about 800 calories but didn't feel hungry at all.

The whole point of this Blood Sugar diet is that you are eating foods to control your blood sugar so that you don't experience the highs and lows during the day. The lows make you want to eat more sugar. I think that's the theory anyway!
