One Lousy Pound

I have a lot of weight to lose. I started this year at 14 stone 13.3 pounds.

I worked out that if I lose 1.5 pound a week I could end the year at 9 stone 5.3 pounds.

So that's what I plan to do. I've done the first week. By Friday I need to have lost one pound.

That's all. Just one lousy pound. I can do that, right?

Absolutely.
Weigh and portion everything and start logging it on My Fitness Pal. It will really help you to see where you are eating extra calories. It’s so easy to think that the small thing you are eating can’t equal too many calories but, when you weigh it and work out the actual calories, it can sometimes be a shock. MFP has helped educate me into making better choices. 3 stone lost fairly painlessly.
You can do it OP.

Thanks, that's a good idea. If small pounds can add up to big losses then small snacks can add up to big gains.

@Onelousypound yes of course you can!

I agree with @Fatherbrownsbicycle my fitness pal is an amazing tool and use it with most of my 1:1 clients. However, you can easily lose 1-2 lb a week by making small changes without the effort of weighing everything you eat. The App (tracking method), doesn’t work for everyone as it can be time consuming.

Have you got a plan?

Kelly
