Lost around 13kgs over the summer through a mix of exercise and cutting out sugar and he multitudes of snacks I had in the day. I didn't hit my target weight, about 3-5kgs off it but I reached a healthy bmi and felt great for the first time in years.
Fell off the wagon around early September and stopped exercising. A bit of bad food started sneaking in in December and I'm up 2.5kgs since August. I really don't want to let it creep anymore as I've worked so hard to lose but I keep forgetting about it sometimes
I'm having a chill evening with champagne , crisps and duck spring rolls tonight with DP for NYE and will probably have a bit of leftover snacks tomorrow but I'm planning on being a lot more conscious and aware of what I eat from Saturday rather than shovelling the left over Christmas snacks in my mouth like I have been.
Planning a long walk tomorrow with DP and DCs and lots of water too.
This isn't a New Years resolution btw. Just a pick-up-where-I-left-off without overwhelming myself and making sure I create a manageable lifestyle not a diet.
Hoping to start with plenty of long brisk walks with DDog. No alcohol (I never really drink unless it's around Christmas or birthdays and celebrations like that anyway), being purposeful with what I eat rather than mindlessly snack.
And I'm also thinking I will start leaving my workout stuff next to my bed in the evenings to use in the morning first thing and try to find the motivation to do 20mins 2-3 times a week but not sure how well I'll do with that one. A bit at a time.
First goal - loose the 2.5kg I gained over the last couple of months.
Second goal - loose the other 3-5kgs to get me to my preferred weight (will play it by ear as I'm going to go with what I look like).
Third goal - try to incorporate regular exercise for health benefits and to help tone and strengthen my body and maintenance.
I want to look after myself and be healthy rather than just fixate on the weight part.
Will use this thread as a journal of sort and encourage anyone who wants to to do it as well regardless of how much / little they want to aim for.
Would anyone like to join me?
