After a difficult few months and an injury, I've realised how important exercise is to my mental health.

I need to drop a bit of weight to help with the fitness and my self esteem. I'm planning on this for every day:

1500kcal max
10,000 steps
2L water/fruit squash
Some form of exercise (either stationary bike, running or YouTube fitness vid)

Wanna join me and help keep on track?

I'll join. I need to get back to a 8/10. Started back in March, went from a 14/16 to a 8/10 by September through IF and exercise. Went back to work in October, took my eye of the ball and I cant get into my clothes!

Hi @qwerty45 that's amazing progress. What exercise are you doing?

I'm trying to figure out what to do with eggs and turkey for my lunch.

Hi *@qwerty45* that's amazing progress. What exercise are you doing?

I'm trying to figure out what to do with eggs and turkey for my lunch.

@Bobbiepin I'm just walking 30-45 mins a day. I eventually want to start running.
Bobbiepin · 27/12/2020 16:10

You've done that with just walking? Amazing, well done.

I've done my workout and had ramen for lunch. Leftover turkey in miso soup with veggies, rice noodles and a soft boiled egg. Delicious and 400kcal.

Couch to 5km is great for beginners. Half decent shoes from sports direct shouldn't cost more than £30-40 and you don't need anything else.

@Bobbiepin yes walking everyday. Plus intermittent fasting.

I was a 8/10 back in October, now i'm a 10/12. Luckily i didnt sell my bigger clothes otherwise I'd have nothing to wear.

Would love to join this thread! Baby 4 months old so no excuses now. Got 3.5 stone to lose. Planning on weighing myself on New Years Day and take it from there!

We can do this. I've been at goal twice before so it is possible!

Bobbiepin · 27/12/2020 21:01

Now's the time to do it. I follow Jordan Syatt on instagram and he recommends weighing yourself every day. It helps you to see your body's natural fluctuations and see weight as data rather than worth. If you happen to weigh yourself once a week on a heavier day it really demotivates you but that isnt an accurate picture.

Morning! Yeah I usually weigh myself Thursday mornings so I make sure I don't have something too heavy for tea Wednesday evening. It does make a difference! I may start weighing myself every day though.

I have also decided that I'm not interested in alcohol. It was my turn to drink this xmas and in all honestly it made me feel crap. So I know I'm not 'missing out' by not drinking either.

Bobbiepin · 28/12/2020 09:18

Alcohol is so calorific! I do like a wine but not worth it right now. In moderation when I've hit my weight but not now.

Can I join in? Managed to shift a few lockdown kilos over the summer and am now trying to stop them creeping back! I'm pretty good at the moving more part (exercise has done wonders for stress and anxiety) but it's the eating less I struggle with 😂. Especially at this time of year...

Bobbiepin · 28/12/2020 09:36

Eating is so much harder to stay in top of. I know we have a very high calorie dinner planned, it's a bit of a treat and my DH loves it so gotta work the rest of the day around it.

I don't think my meals are too bad (although I know I probably need to keep an eye on the amount of carbs on my plate), but snacks and treats are definitely my downfall. I was quite disciplined over the summer, but that's waned as time goes on. Think I struggle with the concept that any healthy changes I make are for the long haul.
