Weight loss after baby

Hi all, I had my second child 6 weeks ago and am feeling really miserable about my weight and shape.

I'm 5"8 and 16st6lbs.

I'd like to get back to around 11/12st and plan on starting in the New Year.

Anyone with me??

I'm with you! My daughter will be 9 months old on Boxing Day and I'm done with feeling fat and frumpy. My body seems to have just completely changed shape since giving birth although being sleep deprived and eating crap all day isn't helping.

I was hoping bf would make the weight melt off but apparently in some women it actually makes them retain fat stores for milk production and I seem to be one of those lucky ones 😉

Keto worked really well for me before so I'll probably be doing that again.

What will you be doing?

Hi @derbyshiremama

I'm in Notts, btw!

I plan on walking once a day with the push chair, at least 30 mins. (Doesn't seem much right now but I think achieving that with a new baby will be good).

I also will be using myfitnesspal to track calories, aiming for 1200 and eating 'real' food rather than prepared stuff etc.

Do you have a target and plan?

My baby is now 6 years old and I started in August so you're much more on it than I was 😂 good luck, it is doable just be kind to yourself and don't let little slip ups get you down. You won't see weight loss every week, sometimes you'll reach for the biscuits but you can do it so just put those slips behind you, and keep going.

I've gone from 233lb (16st 9) to 184lb (13st 2) with 20lb (1 st 6) left to get me to the top end of the healthy BMI range.
