80 calories of carbs per meal

I was listening to the audio book Why we get fat, and it was saying about reducing carbs to 80 calories per meal or less. I need to get my head around what that looks like.

Well, I think that it looks like not a lot. Half a thin bagel, or half a thin slice. But then up the protein and veggies. See how it goes.

Is ot 80calories of the thing which has carbs or is it just carb?
Google said carb is about 4 calories🤔
So 20g of carbs per meal?
Which would be a large orange according to my MFP.
Or 200g of red cabbage. About 140g of potatoes?

That just looks like an added unnecessary step to already annoying counting😂

O look! My breakfast fit.
A medium egg, 10g ketchup, 1 slice of Allison's wholemeal.
20g.

I don't really know. I had a half a little Warburtons thin slice this morning, which was 50 calories of carbs. But then I had eggs, veggie sausages and vegetables. See how it goes. Cutting carbs, and upping protein and veggies probably won't do any harm I guess.
